Yes I do. Nowhere does God say, "Let us make man in OTHER GODS' image."

The "our" God referred to was His triune self: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.

Genesis 1:
The Father, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit were talking between them.

First Commandment:
God recognize mankind has developed worship to other beings and even to not living things. Those things, ideas, men, or demons are called gods by man, but not are the same as God.

Genesis 1:Gen 1:26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

God has his co creator who is Jesus Christ (not multiple Gods)

You shall hve no other Gods before me means the graven images of god, the man made images of cow, stone made image of God which is not the true living God in Heaven.

Yes God recognize other Gods like the Gof of this world who is Satan. Take note of Psalm 82:1
Psa 82:1 God standeth in the congregation of the mighty; he judgeth among the gods
jtm.

Genesis 1:27 is a reference to the Christian doctrine of the Trinity. Just as man was created in three "parts", a body from the elements of the earth, a spirit from the breath of God and living soul from the union of the two, so God also exist in three "parts". They are the Father which exist in the spiritual realm, the Son who existed in the physical realm as Jesus, and the Holy Spirit which comes from the union of those two. There is only one "God", but he exist in three forms, same as man.

You will also find numerous references to "the gods" as there were lots of people who believed in them. Hopefully you realized that something does not have to exist for people to believe in it (look at Bigfoot, UFOs, the Loch Ness Monster, or the myth of Intelligent Life in Washington DC). So you will find many references for people not to worship those false gods, or "contest" between true prophets and those of the false gods, etc. Alone with those warnings not to worship such gods you will also find scriputres stating that those gods were false and did not exist.

So God recognizes that people believe in other "gods". But nowhere does God state that they are real. Rather he states several times that they are not.

Yes. Even Adam and Eve strived to be gods as well. In John, Jesus is referred to a god. There are many 'godlike' spirits out there, and in our limited understanding of the spiritual world we can be led astray by angels wishing to be worshipped. Look in the account of Exodus, when Moses went performing the first miracles before the pharaoh and the pharaoh's priests could do the same? Even Baal, whose worship entailed throwing babies into the fire, must have been a demon of sorts. God is above all these 'gods' and he said we should have no other gods before him for our own protection.

Deut. 10:17 For the LORD your God is God of gods, and Lord of lords, a great God, a mighty, and a terrible, which regardeth not persons, nor taketh reward:

John 10:34-36; Jesus said, I called you gods to whom the word of God came.

2Cor.4:3,4; 11:14; 1Pet.5:8; Re,12:9[ all his names ]; Satan is the god of this world, he made Jesus and offer when Jesus was age 30 Matt.4:1-11;

From the opinion of one walking the pagan path, i believe myself that there is only one omnipotent, divine, all-knowing entity most commonly referred to as "god"....however, that entity has several facets and faces and all of the different aspects.....
It is hard for me to believe that the bible is the end-all, know-all....for there is to much room for human error. It may be good for some, but the only problem that i have with it is that they xians claim to be the only way! How presumptuous!
I think what the world lacks is a healthy dose of respect and tolerance!

just my humble pagan thoughts

The bible calls God a trinity. God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. These 3 are the only one mentioned as true diety through out the entire bible. Many false gods are named but man can make up any god they want (Santa Clause) doesn't mean they are real.

The Creator, Jehovah, was speaking to his son, Jesus Christ. By virtue of his position, he too is A god, but not ALMIGHTY God. We worship one, follow the other.
