Sorry but I think (Lojique- because I'm not egotisic enought to say I'm right as I dont have the foresight of god) that there is a God, what god is I do not know but a man sat in a cloud does not appeal to me more a spiritual energy, and I believe in evolution.

Why isnt this compatible with some religions, I take the story of creation and adam and eve as a fable to try to make us understand the vast power of god and the world not as fact, god made everything including dinosaurs

The Creation story of the Bible/Qur'an/Scriptures is a fable. an imaginative way of explaining God's complex and unique way of creating us which is evolution.

Perhaps you should consider the question - who is more likely to accept evolution theory, atheist or theist? Evolution does not require the involvement of God so naturally it gives atheists an added reason to believe in the non-existence of God. Therefore, evolution is against God.

OK, you say you take the story of Adam and Eve as a fable. Now consider this:

1. Creation story, including the story of Adam & Eve, has been around for thousands of years.

2. The Book that records it has been around for thousands of years. Its history cannot be refuted.

3. The people who wrote that Book, the Jews, have been around for thousands of years. Neither can they be destroyed, Hitler even tried it! Still the Iranian President wants to wipe off Israel from the map of the world!

4. The Sabbath, weekly day of rest, which memorializes creation is still observed all over the world - "For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth....and rested the seventh day." (Ex. 20:11).

Only if you want to bury your head in the sand you can overlook all the evidence.

If PART of the bible is taken as a fable, then you have to decide which parts are really true. That upsets some people who only want their interpretation to be used. Once you start calling the bible a fable, you are free to pick and choose through the rest, or even call the whole this a parable, including jesus.

You can see why some people dodn't want that, no matter how little sense creation makes.

In the beginning of evolution there was Darwin and his Origen of the Species with his monkey to man chart. Strongly against such garbage by Darwin.

There has always been natural selection or adapting to the environment. We produce after our kind. We don't change one kind into another kind without genetic manipulation that is going on by our scientist today and God calls it an abomination. God destroyed the first world with water because of it and God will destroy this world with fire because of it. The wickedness of fallen angels bring this monster to our human world. They know their time is short and they are unleashing their evil upon man.

Good question. Unfortunately, Christians can't agree on anything so you're not likely to get a satisfying answer. lol

Take for example when they say, "The bible is true and is the proved word of god."

So, if you ask, "C'mon! How can a hedge on fire speak to people? And what about the Universe made in 6 days and that baloney about the guy living inside a whale?"

Then they'll reply, "Well, of COURSE, those passages are meant metaphorically!"

So, then, if you ask, "Then evolution CAN work in the interpretations of our origins as described in the bible?"

Then they'll reply, "No. We really did come from dirt and dust."

Which is it?

You can't be this smart to preach to us whether or not there is God. If evolution was the case then we should not be living like the people some so many years back, I think if this was true people of today should not be walking but flying not talking but singing kind of a thing not dressing but grown with something all different to cover up. Think twice about God and get to know from today that there is GOD!!

In actuality, the story of Adam and Eve isn't about creation.

They were to be examples for all human life to follow and they had the capacity to live eternally by eating of the Tree of Life.

However, they defaulted and were banished from this tree. Hence, we have not had their influence here on earth (a planet of rebellion). This is the reason that they were unsuccessful.

For a large number of Christians, the entire Bible must be true literally or it threatens the basis of their belief. Those who refuse to consider evolution as something set up by God as a method of creation feel that he must have actually created everything in the universe in the state in which we know it now in the literal span of 7 days. They are unable to evaluate a story as allegory with a religious objective.

The man who was one of the most instrumental witnesses in the case *against* Intelligent Design in Dover, PA is a Christian.

You can accept evolution without renouncing your faith.

I personally think it takes a whole lot of logical somersaults to do so, but it's still a rather common occurence.

Evolution is not against God but it really messes with the bible's story of creation and it's translations which is what religion bases it's doctrines on. Believe what feels right too you.
