I'm really tired of them saying so-and-so is happening, this means the world ending. They keep pushing back the date but its always soon - why cant they pick a date so that when it goes by uneventfully they can all shut the hell up?

Don't people realize that the Jewish High Priest HAD to arrange the sacrifice of the lamb for the attonement of sins or the sacrifice would be invalid according to the Old Testament Scripture?

Our school is holding a halloween themed dance, and my christian friend has said she won't be going becuase her beliefs don't agree with it.. i don't really understand what she means.. and whenever i bring it up she changes the subject..

If you can answer yes to any of these questions then I have another question for you. Can I show you that the Book of Mormon does not teach any of these things?

Luke 12:15 where he was sending a message about covetousness. and told the story of the rich man who tore down his storehouse to build bigger ones. When God said you are dieing tonight so who is to have your stuff.

Their block voting and codes have made R&S nearly impossible for other religions and spritualities. I would say if they admit their religion is the same kind of Myth that they apply to our religions.

But can you open up a Bank account under titles? So when Jesus said in Mathew 28:19 to baptize all nations in the Name of the Father, Son, & Holy Spirit, did He literally mean the titles? Peter understood in Acts 2:38 who the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost was.

I've read the Bible and it really didn't make any sense to me or prove anything to me. I didn't even think it was particularly well written or entertaining or relevant to modern times. So I don't understand what makes people believe the Bible, or books like it, is the word of God. It seems popular for people to refer to the Bible for proof that the Bible is true, but that doesn't make sense to me. That would be like me writing a research paper with the paper I'm writing as my source.

So what is it that makes people attach divine significance to these religious books?
