I'm going to watch Mel Brooks' 'Silent Movie', where Marceau has the only line in the picture.

Yes, I agree - or would...
Except I'm stuck in a wind storm and can't pull myself to the keyboard on the handy rope attached to my desk.

That seems the most appropriate way to pay our respects to a mime.

Never. I would hug his widow and weep with her, I would tell those in attendance at the funeral about Jesus, I would cry out to the living God on a streetcorner or a mountaintop, but, in this country, we have religious freedom purchased by the blood of our forefathers.
I will proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ to my dying breath, but I NEVER have and I never will observe a moment of silence as a matter of "respect". If there is any respect to be paid, it should be done to the LIVING GOD.
In Jesus Name, Lord, make thy mighty works and salvation known to them to whom are yet living, that they may not perish. Amen.

He only just died? Wow.
I guess a moment of silence would be more than appropriate.

Don't you think it would be more fitting to observe a moment of loudness.
