We attended Mass this morning as we were expecting a satellite repair guy "between 12 and 5" and I usually serve as a Communion minister at 5pm mass, but could not find a substitute. So, since I already received Communion this morning, I was wondering if I should receive again while I'm doing the Eucharistic ministry this evening.

Yes, but at least one time must be during the course of attending Mass.
If in danger of death, and receiving the last sacraments, communion may also be received a third time, in the same day.

I think you can go to a wedding Mass early Saturday afternoon, and then a Saturday evening "Sunday" Mass and receive communion both times. But normally not.

Laymen are not supposed to, but priests can perform up to 3 masses a day, which necessitates three communions.

If you can attend mass more than once a day, you can receive communion more than once a day.

there is no limit set nor frequencey which you can partake.not by scripture anyway.

i am seriously not being disrespectful, but if you believe jesus is somehow in that wafer, what happens to him when you eat it? does he travel to your heart or soul or something, because the wafer passes through you. is this all happening on another plane of existence?
