'As Man is, God once was; as God is, man may become?'
'Does God have a physical body?'
'Is God married?'
'Does God have parents?'
'Is there more than one God?'

If you can answer yes to any of these questions then I have another question for you. Can I show you that the Book of Mormon does not teach any of these things?
Would it disturb you? Would you agree that something is wrong if I show you? Do you want truth?

You presume that the Book of Mormon not really getting into these items of question is news to us. You do not understand the Book of Mormon, nor do you understand us.

The Old Testiment for example is the story of fallen men. This is how fallen men act. This is what they do. This is what they believe, and so forth

The New Testiment shows who God is. The true face of deity is revealed in the New Testiment. A compassionate loving, god who only wants what's best.

The Book of Mormon is about how we as indivisuals become like Christ. And when we follow its teachings, we gain a testimony of the savior.

So of course the Book of Mormon would have none of those in it. Niether will the Doctrine and Covenents which details how we as a people can become Zion. It details how God's church functions.

Nor will you find this information in the Pearl of Great Price, which shows God's mission and purpose.

This information about these items has been revealed by modern prophets. You see, you convienently failed to realize that to a Latter Day Saint, revelation is still happening. Scripture is still being written.

As man is, God once was--I don't know.

As God is, man may become--yes, and I don't think that the Book of Mormon says any differently.

God has a physical body--God, our Heavenly Father, does have a body of flesh and bone, the same as Christ, and I don't believe that the Book of Mormon teaches any differently.

God married, God have parents--Don't know, Don't think it's pertinent to our salvation.

more than one God--more than one god, probably, but, we don't have anything to do with them. I don't think that the Book of Mormon teaches any differently here, either.

The only thing wrong is your interpretation of the Book of Mormon, and our other scripture, and teh words of our prophets.

The Truth is, that Jesus is the Christ, the Book of Mormon is the word of God like the Bible, we have living prophets of God among us, and we too can inherit what God has.

You are a troll. Please refrain from trying to "show" me that my religion is false. Can't you just understand that I believe what I believe, and no matter what you say, it won't change it.

I have spent many years looking into the church, I did a lot of research from both sides of the fence, and I have learned a lot. I could argue with you and try to prove my point, but that would do no one any good, and as they say: Contention is of the devil. If you aren't willing to just agree to disagree, then you aren't worth my time.

In answer to your question: yes, yes, don't know-probably- why not?, Yup!!!! and There's only one God I worship, and will always worship. Whether there are other Gods or not, my God will always be my God.

D&C 130:22 The Father has a body of flesh and bones as tangible as man’s; the Son also; but the Holy Ghost has not a body of flesh and bones, but is a personage of Spirit. Were it not so, the Holy Ghost could not dwell in us.

There are others I could list, but I'll leave it at that.. read the link I sent. Maybe it might shed some light on what we really believe.

We believe in modern, continuing revelation.

Joseph Smith said repeatedly that he was only setting the foundation of truth, and restoring Jesus Christ's true church, never to be taken again from the earth.

Those things are not in the Book of Mormon. I know it well. They are, however all over in other places in accepted Mormon doctrine.

Did you know that polygamy is all over the Old Testament, by the way? While we haven't practiced it in over 100 years, it IS biblical.

So many translations AKA "versions" of the Bible have been published that a simple appeal to the Bible can often result in more confusion, not less.

Example:
Paul mentions baptism for the dead in the KJV
In several American versions, that reference has been changed or omitted, because it didn't sit well with the established doctrine of whichever church was publishing their own version of the Bible.

We have never needed modern revelation more than we do today.

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is God's true church on the earth today.

Does God have a physical body?'
Yes, we know this through modern revelation. He "has a body of flesh and bones as tangible as man's" (D&C 130:22).

Is God married?
I can refer you to this http://www.lds.org/portal/site/LDSOrg/menuitem.3933737ad2ff28132eb22a86942826a0/?vgnextoid=bbd508f54922d010VgnVCM1000004d82620aRCRD&locale=0&index=13&sourceId=d7e29daac5d98010VgnVCM1000004d82620a____
Since it is a law of God's - eternal marriage - then in my opinion, He is married, eternally. I believe I have a Heavenly Father and Mother.

'Does God have parents?'
Since we are His children, I would suppose He also has Parents.

'Is there more than one God?'
Somewhere out there, yeah. That I worship? No. I worship my Heavenly Father, who is Almighty God, through His Son, Jesus Christ.

I thank you for your concern, but I already know the truth. It may not be "truth" to you, but that is fine, that is your choice. I have received a personal testimony of the gospel and know it is true.

The Book of Mormon doesn't mention most of those things but the Bible and the Doctrine and Covenants do. So does the Pearl of Great Price and modern Apostles and Prophets.

Why would it disturb me that the BoM doesn't reference those things? What is wrong? I certainly want to know the truth.

If I could show you the misunderstandings you have of the LDS Church, would you believe me? Do you want truth?

Not all of their doctrine is derived from the Book of Mormon, they rely on revelation through prophets as well
I think that particular doctrine is revelation recorded in the Journal of Discourses

The Mormon religion is a false religion. Their poligamy goes against the teaching of Jesus who said that marriage should be between just one man and one woman and they become as one flesh. The fact that they taught somehting different from the teaching of Jesus shows that they are false. St. Paul said; "if we, or an angel from Heaven should teach a Gospel different from the one which we have handed down, let them be a anaethema". They contradict Jesus and therefore they are wrong to even claim to be a Christian church, let alone giving themselves the pretentious title of 'latterday saints'.

Does it make you feel big to attack someone else's faith. I think it makes you look small. I'll pray for you, so maybe you can learn tolerance.
