Can't help thinking: The demons were angels who became discontented with their original position but for sook their own proper dwelling place for something to which they were not entitled. Jude 6; Genesis 6:2
Think to of Balaam, Achan, Gehazi and Judas they feel to the love of money. Even poor people can be money lovers.
How do we keep from being like those people?
How do we know when just getting enough to live on becomes a love for money?

I have some versus I like and I can't seem to find them in the bible.. please help?

Fav verse 1-God so loved the world

Verse 2- from dust you are to dush you shall return

Verse 3- Death is ________ live right to ensure enternal life. Fear not death.

Verse 4- Go forth hence, all of you. And if there comes to you guidance from me, than whoso shall follow my guidance on them shall come no fear nor shall they grieve but where you'll be after death----? not sure if that last part from but goes with that verse.. maybe a different one?

Verse 6- Jesus is the truth, the way and the life.

Verse 7- Hear O' Isreal, the one is _________, the one is one.

Do you think its appropriate to use fear or guilt to convince others to come to Christianity? Do you follow the school of thought that it doesn't matter how a person comes to accept Christ, as long as they do, and the message can be clarified later?

As an agnostic I have often been asked by people of faith how I bear the notion of the ultimate meaninglessness of my life. I reply that as I do not suscribe to the view which most faiths seem to promote of mankind being seperate and superior to all other animals I do not consider my self any more or less valuable than a Sparrow whos purpose they are happy to accept is merely to procreate. This fear of meaninglessness suggests to me that their faith is simply a security blanket for them to cuddle up to whenever thay think of going through that door into the unknown which awaits us all. Views Please!

My 12 yr old son has just made a new friend. I just found out that his friend's father is the token gay guy in our small town. He used to have a boyfriend that lived with him for a very long time, but from what i am told they broke up. At first the boy lied to my son and told him that his mother traveled a lot for work and was not home very much. Then he admitted to my son after i let him go over there once to play for the afternoon that his father was gay etc. I have already said that he is not sleeping over, but i am not sure how to handle this situation. I don't want the influence of being around a gay male and potentially gay boy to make my son think it's cool to be gay. So far he really likes girls, but i am worried if this friendship builds too much that he might sway the other way. I don't believe that people are born gay or lesbian, they choose to be that way for whatever reason. I have friends that are gay so i am not saying they are bad or anything, but with my son...

I have been with a man for over 5 years now. We have a child together and we love eachother very much. In the middle of these 5 years I have become a born again Christian. I have done so many bad things, that its very hard to know I should move out since we are not married.

I am from a divorced family and didnt want my life to be like that. So I thought that living together was best. He believes in God, but he is not born again. We have some problems like most relationships, and he wants to get married after we fix them. I dont want to be with anyone else. I am feeling torn. I appreciate any help you can offer.

Are they just not paying attention or something? Did they just skip the part of biology class that shows all of the scientific evidence to support the theory of evolution?

NBC censored references to God and the Bible from episodes of "Veggie Tales," and yet, they allowed a Madonna concert to be aired in which Madonna appears on the cross, in mockery of our savoir Jesus Christ. Who do those censorship-happy propagandists at NBC think they are, that they can alter the words of righteous prophets like Bob the Tomato and Larry the Cucumber? Will you freedom-loving Christians remember the anniversary of this travesty by emailing NBC and letting them know that we believe in free speech? Tell them that Bob and Larry need to spread the word of the true Christian God to all the children of the US, and that Madonna should be banned from appearing on NBC forever.
