All Christians should lead a life that makes others interested in your faith and ask you about it. Yes we should all be ready to share the gospel when the issue comes up. God only calls some to ministry so not all are going to be preachers. The word disciple not only means follower but also one who follows a teacher. Since not many are after disciples one would be better advised to use the word believers.

I ran out of clay so I had to stop making disciples...darn it. Christians tell others about Jesus and give them an opportunity to have a home in Heaven some day. Whether the invitation is accepted or not is up to the person with whom the Christian is talking.

Well, it was commanded by Jesus at the end of the book of Matthew, to "Go therefore and make disciples", so would think that a Christian, as one who does what Jesus told him to do, should listen and go to make disciples.
Matthew 28:. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of people of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all the things I have commanded YOU. And, look! I am with YOU all the days until the conclusion of the system of things.”

Well being a desciple means following Christ and spreading his words. So I guess in todays world all Christians are meeting that standard at least in half (by being Christs followers). I know I am that person and if situation calls for it I bring His words in life, but I never just go out and talk about it. ANd I don't think that any modern Christian really does it either. Of course there are exceptions but your generalization is simply not fair

Jesus said to go and make disciples of all nations. There is no such thing as a modern christian. Every philosophy under the sun has been discussed. Jesus said if you are not for me then you are against me. It is that simple. Not every one is gifted in evangelism, but everyone can be part of an evangelistic team. wayofthemaster.com

They should, even if the Disciples are just your own children. Evangelization can be in many forms, not just on street corners and on TV.
