of salvation rather than a personal relationship with God?

No,

Salvation only comes from Jehovah, thru his Son, based on our faith in the shed blood of his Son.

Jehovah thru his Son is the judge of who has eternal life.

Most people who are disfellowshiped and or quit is because they don't have a personal relationship with Jehovah.

I would continue to worship Jehovah even if the 'Organization' was arrested and thrown into jail.

Oh wait, Satan already tried that.

When they studied with me, they presented several things as the basis of salvation, one of which was a relationship with the Watchtower organization. The other things were a relationship with Jehovah God and Jesus Christ, which ultimately I was told, was not possible without a relationship with the JW organization.

Since the JW org. like any other, is made up of humans who are obviously partial to their own org, I didn't feel they were qualified to decide who God can have a relationship with, so I opted not to join up. Last I checked, forgiveness and salvation comes through Jesus, not a human or an organized body of humans.

I would say it's a fair statement, since JW's present a relationship with Jehovah God and Jesus as being dependent on having a relationship with Jehovah's Witnesses.

Rev 7:9 After these things I saw, and, look! a great crowd, which no man was able to number, out of all nations and tribes and peoples and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, dressed in white robes; and there were palm branches in their hands. 10 And they keep on crying with a loud voice, saying: “Salvation [we owe] to our God, who is seated on the throne, and to the Lamb.”

Salvation is from Jehovah God and his Son Jesus Christ.

I have been a Jehovah's Witness since Aug. 1996.

Dengue, spread by the Aëdes aegypti mosquito, is also rapidly on the rise; it now threatens 2.5 billion people in over 100 countries worldwide. Since the 1950’s, a deadly new hemorrhagic form of the disease has emerged and spread throughout the Tropics. It is estimated that it kills about 20,000 people each year.

The Watchtower has always taught that salvation is a result of Jehovah's undeserved kindness.

Recently a clergyman in Brooklyn, New York, obtained a copy of the book The Truth That Leads to Eternal Life. He was so impressed with the chapter dealing with prayer that he used the book to teach members of his church this chapter in a special meeting. Later he was asked by one of them, “Are you teaching us out of those Jehovah’s witnesses’ books?”

He replied: “It is the truth, isn’t it? When you want Sunday-school literature, you get it from several sources, don’t you? Well, Jehovah’s witnesses teach the truth. Furthermore, when you see Jehovah’s witnesses with the Watchtower magazine, you ought to take it, because they print the truth.”

Absolutely not.

Jehovah's Witnesses point to Jesus Christ as the basis for our salvation. In fact, our annual conventions this year had the theme "Follow the Christ".

No.
The Watchtower (from all the publications I have read) are really doing a great work in the way of showing people that the word of God is alive, and when applied has immense power.
I have actually benefited from my contact with the JW's by reason of the simple fact that they pointed out the scripture to me that to break free from my former and extended use of drugs, that all I had to do was to abandon my association with those who use drugs.

Because they wrongly believe that through the organization, God speaks to them, it is a symbiotic relationship, that they can not separate...
It is an unhealthy and un biblical one at that...
They believe that without god's Faithful and Discrete Slave,( always Witnesses ) that you can not come to an understanding of the Bible or proper theology.

You are right, PLUS, the JW's deny Jesus' sacrifice as being totally sufficient for salvation. THAT is the bottom line. ANYONE or ANY group who denies this is NOT Christian. JW's add 'good works' as necessary for salvation, and THAT is NOT Biblical at all.
