I heard an atheist say science is logic.

Logic is subjective from person to person. So if science (logic) was ever the sole basis of morality then would there not be disputes as to what is really right? Even on basic matters.

I'm sorry but as much as I love mankind I would not trust them alone to make a unanimous and righteous definition of morality without the aid of (even minimal) divine guidance. In fact, it would be impossible.

Am I right? Please, no smart a** answers to dodge my question. Would like some real answers.

Peace.

since it is widely regarded, (even by righteous people), as the most pleasant thing in life? For those who believe that God made us what we are, wouldn't it be reasonable to assume that he would reward people by providing them with lots and lots of great sex?

Because the only thing that I received was a Sixth Revised Edition of Christ Among Us A Modern Presentation Of The Catholic Faith For Adults by Anthony Wilhelm and nothing else? Am I in trouble to start the course off? Also my Catechist said a couple of things which confused me and shocked me particularly that he believes that the fact that priests can't get married is heresy. Also he said that Catholicism is a religion of rational thought and that the God of Nature can't contradict the God Of Reason as they are both one and the same yet he said that the Gospel of Matthew and the Gospel of Luke contradict themselves, and that he doesn't believe in the concept of a soul and that was invented by Greek Philosophers or something like that and that we as the body or something like that are the soul or at least that's what I thought I heard him say. Is he a heretic? What do I do?

if I, a reasonable and open minded/impressionable person can change, am I no longer a bigot if I see my intolerant self?

I find many religious folks who are pundits of doctrines or circular logic do no know what a bigot is...

By God, we will be justified

Will each and every one of you,

*Fully renounce Satan from your life?
*Accept Jesus into your heart as your Personal Savior and Redeemer?
*Accept that revelation from God has been restored to us?
*Place your left hand on my Mormon Bible and hold your right hand up and commit yourself to being saved and baptised in the name of The Father, The Son and The Holy Ghost?

You ask this repeatedly of me, so I feel it's only appropriate that I should ask it of you.

I for one are sick of seeing fundies pentecostals and evangelicals presume if you post a question critical of religious fanaticism that you're not a Christian posting and using their answers to post a long unnecesssary sermon on how to "accept the lord" which usually has nothing to do with the ACTUAL topic!

Do these people have poor levels of reading comprehension or what?

Why do they mistake ranting for spiritual inspiration?

and then there's the whole all pagans are evil demon worshippers nonsense!

Anyone care to add to the list?

God's teachings with the Aide of the Holy Spirit?

I was Raised as a Jehovah's Witness where I was comanded to follow Watchtower theology completely and without questioning...

Now, I have some issues that I am not completely sure of, and I can go, by my self into God's word, and read and understand what God wants me to know. I do not have to believe what has not been absolutely proven to me by
God's word..
also..
There are things that I am not 100% sure of, and it is OK!

Since you have absolutely not one shred of empirical evidence of your God's existence, you can only "imagine" it. Your Bible has been PROVEN time and again to be nothing more than copy from more ancient, older religions. The only "inspiration" used were the deletions, insertions and other forms of editing in an effort to make it more believable to the masses. You cannot deny these facts if you have any honesty about you.

I just don't get it . I dont get the whole idea of jesus .I have a lot of questions and doubts.

First : if jesus is dead then how come we still pray to him?
Second:If Jesus is capable to help us here how come he wasnt capable to help him self when he was on the crossed?
Third:why has the bibble changed every now and then by our leaders? notice,in ten years it will change it will be like " gays WERE born that way".
Fourth : why god didnt help his son when he was on the crossed?
fiveth: why god sent his son why didnt he send his daughter?

you know what i think ? i think that we were born to believe the bibble and its storied without even questioning it .i was raised christian untill at some point i stopped being one.you know im not muslim but some muslim said something very interesting
he said" in order to you to believe christians you need to have wild imagination, but all what you need are your brain and commen sesne when it comes to Islam"
why would god want a son in?
