alot of trinitarians dont even know themselves. how can God, Jesus and the Holy spirit be one, if in the bible its says Jesus was tempted by Satan, and it also says God can never be tempted nor does he tempt anyone? if Jesus was God, how could he had been tempted by Satan? also Jesus says that he knows his father, and his father knows him. if the holy spirit was a person, wouldnt he have included the holy spirit? the word trinity isnt even mentioned in the bible. its an erroneous belief. and yes they may try using some scriptures that kinda sound like there could be a trinity. for example JEsus said that he and God were one, but it didnt mean this literally. the bible says when a man and woman marry they become one, but not in literal terms. its all about just really examining scriptures.

Believers don't know why they say that certain things about their faith are a 'mystery' but the fact is that the religion they adhere to is called a 'mystery religion' and that means that it has certain characteristics, not that there is a real mystery involved.

Older mystery religions were secretive and protective of their canon and membership. The main difference with Christianity was that it was more open about its tenets and also actively sought members at any level in the society, even the lowest.

It's all mythology, anyway.

Jesus was created and the Almighty has always been here.
So they cannot be the same person. That came from Satan who wanted to be equal with the Almighty God and Jesus.
Kind of a three in one God. But it is a satanic teaching.

Colossians 1:15 He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation; 16 because by means of him all [other] things were created in the heavens and upon the earth, the things visible and the things invisible, no matter whether they are thrones or lordships or governments or authorities. All [other] things have been created through him and for him. 17 Also, he is before all [other] things and by means of him all [other] things were made to exist, 18 and he is the head of the body, the congregation. He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that he might become the one who is first in all things; 19 because [God] saw good for all fullness to dwell in him, 20 and through him to reconcile again to himself all [other] things by making peace through the blood [he shed] on the torture stake, no matter whether they are the things upon the earth or the things in the heavens.

Revelation 3:14 “And to the angel of the congregation in La·o·di·ce´a write: These are the things that the Amen says, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation by God,

What is mysterious about 1. The Father God 2. The Son Jesus Christ and 3. The Holy Spirit.

There is no mystery because God is not limited like man is limited.

The trinity is not mysterious, it refers to many aspects of the universe not just the Father, Son & Holy spirit. It also refers to mind, body & spirit; physical, non-physical & metaphysical; id, ego & superego; conscious, subsonscious & superconscious; energy, matter & anti-matter. Time is also divided by 3: past, present & future. Space can also be divided by 3 as well: here, there & the space between. There are also 3 energies: thoughts, words and actions. It all depends on how you personally interpret it =)

"Proof" is too strong a word here. The point is either that the concept is presupposed by the NT writers, or that the concept is a natural extension of the concepts embedded in the text.

It is much like the notion of the calculus is presupposed by Isaac Newton, but it is only later that the calculus is "proved."

a mystery is not without its clues...

it's like proving that a crime occurred, knowing the one who did it, even establishing a motive, but not understanding "how". I believe there's lots of "forensic" evidence for this "mystery", yet the logical concept needs to be understood

I lean towards a universal acceptance of all, and a unitarian view of 'god' without becoming dogmatic

god is the most confusing and often misunderstood word

something we revere, we wonder about, sense but find it hard to explain....

Ok, I'll try to make it real simple. When we speak of one God we are referring to the nature or essence of God. When we speak of 3 persons we are referring to personal self-distinctions within the Godhead. Put another way, we believe in 1 what and 3 who's.
