Are they just not paying attention or something? Did they just skip the part of biology class that shows all of the scientific evidence to support the theory of evolution?

And please don't waste my time with all of the "evilution" answers and how it's all satan's fault.

No, they are either honestly ignorant of the evidence, or they are willfully ignorant of it.

The honestly ignorant are those who have either never studied biology or have forgotten what they learned, and honestly think they have seen evidence against evolution... usually on Answers in Genesis.

The willfully ignorant are those who know Answers in Genesis is complete bulls**t and parrot it anyway.

In both cases, there is usually a fear motivating the hostility towards evolution - a fear the evolution = the destruction or downfall of their beliefs. Which is rather funny, really, since so many religious people manage to accept evolution without losing religion.

We pay very close attention, the problem with evolution is that when you do take a closer look at the "evidence" you realize that the artistic renditions of early life/mankind are imagined, based solely upon skeletal fragments and presuppositions. The scientific establishment is promoting the religion of the evolution of man based on faith, not physical evidence. Adaptation is proven, species to species evolution has not been, nor can be.

If anyone has archaeological "evidence" that "proves" species to species evolution, by all means send it to the newspapers because they would put it on page 1 indefinitely. I've never seen that Headline. It's why evolution is only a theory that is continuously losing credibility.

But of course with the more recent addition to the theory, punctuated equilibrium, there wouldn't be any transitional evidence...because "poof"..one species just happened to change into another in the womb...convenient to be sure.

Evolution is inconsistent. Each time there is evidence to challenge any portion of it, the high priests of evolution change their story. Now they're waiting for their personal second coming...the next world wide "punctuated equilibrium" event...maybe we'll all become mutants and fly around fighting crime.

Take a look at the evidence...not online...go to the source and look at what "evidence" they used to "create" the transitional life forms such as Ramapithecus, Homo Erectus, Australopithecus...look into Homo Habilis...really look at it and think about what they claim and listen to both sides of the argument...from Creation scientists as well. You will be surprised to see how much faith is required to believe in evolution.

The models proposed in this day have jumps of 50-100 thousand years and more.

It is being presented as a big jig saw puzzle with 90% of the pieces missing.
Scientists provide theories as to links and evolution genesis that cannot disprove creation.
All that is found is fossils that leave a lot of guessing.

Satan here AGAIN

It is my fault, but with global warming causing all the storms and ministers and priests molesting w/o me having to tell them, and finally most of my duties being ceremonial since Mick Jagger took over my personal appearances.

I might as well retire, Well I just wanted to remind you I do all the really bad stuff except what I mentioned and that Senator from Idaho, he was on his own too.

See you in your dreams

They get their information from biased "science" books sold at the local Christian bookstore. They don't know or won't believe that they are being misled.

Anyone who bothers to go to the library and read a little would never say that there is no evidence for evolution.

They see that science too is based upon FAITH in that there is an inherent order in the physical universe much like FAITH in an inherent order in the spiritual realm. However, I see evidence for evolution, but not as that evidence is currently interpreted

"Humility
I have determined, after extensive surveying, tabulation, and data analysis, that the average creationist in the US earns $21,387.29 in annual family income; owns 1.2 cars, 1.8 TVs, and 2.3 kids; and has, at some point in his life, answered to the name "Bubba." He has less than one year of college. Yet he knows more about paleontology than Bakker or Horner or Currie (or he thinks that what they know is wrong--same thing). He knows more about the definition of evolution than Gould or Dawkins. He knows more about biology than Dobzhansky or Mayr. He knows more about cosmology than Hawking, Kaku, or Witten, and more about human fossils than Johanson or the Leakeys. He knows more "true" geology than geologists, more physics than physicists, more astronomy than astronomers--and more about everything than atheists like Asimov or Sagan.
Humble, they're not"

You got me there. I didn't think that it had to be one way or the other. In fact any Christian (I am one) who closes their mind to the miracle of evolution is denying the power of Christ to create such a wonder.

I'm sure some of them are too young to have learned about it in school yet. And the rest of them learned from Creationist propaganda. Its easier to just say "God did it" then to actually try to understand any other options.
