God is different to everyone. If you're willing to let a priest decide how to live your life, then god will be what the priest tells you he is. To me god is not what priests tell me he is. What entity would put his creation through all the suffering we have seen. Religious war wreaked havoc in the past. It was all about power. Take something inexplicable and say it's the work of an all powerful being and you'll have people eating out of your hands.

God could best be decribed as the original sourse of energy from which all came. That does not mean that he has any part in how things have developed or that he in any way interacts with any person or religion. Basically the begining.

For the most part, an imaginary big daddy. It probably represents those all powerful and all protecting beings perceived as infants which were your parents. At least by what seems to be most perceptions through out the ages. Of course, we have no idea what creation is and, fine, call it God.

God is my reason for being. He is my Lord, my Rock, my Redeemer, my Saviour, my Strength, my Shield and my greatest love. He is constant and faithful when the world is unreliable and fickle and His arm is always there to reassure and comfort me at times when I'm down. He is beautiful and I adore Him. God bless :)
