One of the differences between man and animals is that man can think abstractly. A man can know that London is there, even though he's never been there, but a dog can know only what he has seen, tasted, or touched. What is the cause of this difference?

I just came in from working hard manual labor for 8 hours (44 hours for the week) ... and I prayed, "Thank you God for creating us, and thanks for sending Jesus to teach us how to be good neighbors in Heaven".

(God also sent us other folks to teach us how to be good neighbors, but I mainly just thank Jesus for teaching me/us.)

I was awakened a week or so ago out of dead sleep by a demonic presence that felt like it was lying in bed behind me, right next to my ear, with a knife held to me....I was paralyzed in my body..it was so strong it felt like someone was really there...but I knew no one was. All I could say was "Jesus" over and over, and finally the presence 'let go of me' and went away.

Have you ever experienced a demonic presence?

I heard on the radio earlier today that in some radio stations in America whenever John Lennon's anthem to world peace 'Imagine' is played the line 'and no religion too' is either digitally removed or replaced with 'and one religion too'.

Why do they do this?

to forgive you...IF you repent of your wickedness and accept Jesus as your savior. The Lord in His infinite mercy wants to save you from the beast with seven heads. Won't you let Jesus save you before it's too late?

Which among you has the courage to trade skepticism for baptism?

Blacks are the descendants of Ham, right?
Jews and other Arabs are from the rest of Noah's family.

Where did whites, asians, indians, etc come from? Is 4500 years enough to account for the extreme racial diversity in the world? Did God go around just "marking" random people not mentioned in the Bible?

I was told by my friend who's Wiccan that their is a difference to quote his exact words: "pagan is bad, don't meddle with it." I take his warning with meaning and intend to fallow it but I want to know the difference between the two so I can fallow his advice, he says that the difference is: "pagan is a little more dark and involves a little heavier form of withcraft" Is that the only difference or is there more of one????

I am not jewish obviously, but i have read a lot about this holiday(for lack of better term, holiday). and decided to observe it in my christian faith. its also called the day of atonement. You go out and seek or give forgiveness to others so that at sunset you can atone for your sins against God, pray and fast.

anybody else in the Christian faith observing this?

My husband was raised as a Jehovah's witness, and all through his childhood he never celebrated Christmas because it was originally a Pagan holiday, so they just avoided it altogethr.
My mother-in-law told me that during the Pagan winter celebrations, men would beat their wives and have drunken sex with other men to celebrate. Is that true?
That sounds like a pretty crappy party to me.

Is this why the devil is running wild throughout the universe doing what ever it wants to do, like creating fossils, other religions and the spiritual feelings those religions produce, nations with different creation myths that never heard of God, ancient savior god-men born in a cave of a virgin that died to save the world before Jesus got here, and playing Teletubbies on PBS where our kids can see them?

Before you talk madd sh*t out your mouth, consider the meaning of the name and understand the substance of the origin of the name and not it's religious context. Before you judge me, look up the meaning of the name to see what it's meaning. Here is the meaning defined by Wikepedia Online Encyclopedia: Lucifer is a Latin word meaning "light-bearer" (from lux, lucis, "light", and ferre, "to bear, bring"), a Roman astrological term for the "Morning Star", the planet Venus. The word Lucifer was the direct translation of the Septuagint Greek heosphoros, ("dawn-bearer"); (cf. Greek phosphoros, "light-bearer") and the Hebrew Helel, ("Bright one") used by Jerome in the Vulgate, having mythologically the same meaning as Prometheus who brought fire to humanity.
