They would have a REALLY hard time sending a nuclear bomb here. They barely have the technology (an many question if they even do) to even make a bomb. Putting it on an effective ICBM with proper guidance (you need sattelites, which Iran does not have) is not a reality. They can use it in their own region, yet they would only contaminate themselves. If they did choose to use it agianst Israel, US intrests or other allies, they would almost certainly face a overwhelming US or Israeli nuclear response.
As far as the Islam question, we have freedom of religion here. We don't convert to anything we do not. Iran, nor any other group, will ever dictate what religion America will do. Eventually some terrorist group or even Iran, will do something REALLY dumb, like smuggle a dirty bomb in and then all bets will be off. Radical islamists may kill americans, may kill many americans but they will never defeat America. That is just a physical impossiblity.

many muslims were killed by the iranian government so converting to islam just out of fear of an iranian strike isn't truly converting nor would it save anyone from being a target for iran.
