pick a side? Didn't you heed the words of Mr. Miyagi in "The Karate Kid?" -- "Walk on road, hm? Walk right side, safe. Walk left side, safe. Walk middle, sooner or later, get squished just like grape." So why don't you just pick?

What will YOU choose -- damnation or salvation?

This is a question for non-Christians who know about Christianity. In your opinion what major problems does it have? What is bad about it?

I am asking this because as a Christian i do not have an external and independent view of Christianity, so i want to see if others can see problems with it that i have not noticed.

Please be fair and objective, no Christian-bashing or abuse for the sake of it. And just saying things like "Christians are stupid" is not helpful.

Please also state your own belief system so i know where you are coming from (the objections raised by an Atheist might be different from those of, say, a Hindu).

Just curious.
As an Atheist, (former Southern Baptist and AA member- I have been exposed to Religion and a healthy lack of respect for it and the harm it causes is my honest opinion!), I have noticed the percentage of times the fur flies between Atheists and Christians (especially on R & S) is much greater than the times Atheists and Neo Pagans or Atheists and Muslims or Atheists and Jews have at it.
Is this because of an American slant. Christians hold power here. A Minority of Christians have declared Atheists as Unamerican and we have no doubt whom is going to be the first into the ovens (so to speak) if Fundamentalists get their dream of a Christian "Republic"
We'll probably be right beside the Neo-Pagans in the showers.
Is this the reason Neo Pagan superstition gets a free ride (or seems to sometimes) and Atheists and Christians seem to have at each other?

I'm having some serious problems, and I need to talk to a religious Muslim sister. Please leave me your email adress, I really need a friend to confide in who could provide me with Islamic guidance. It would mean the world to me, thank you so much in advance.

We have primate, we have human but there should be thousands of changes.

The evolutionist will put drawings of primate turning to human but not the fossils to match it.

I tend to do the latter, so theoretically that should be seen as tolerant. But in reality it disturbs some people, because it's difficult to predict where I will stand on a given issue. Worse, I get accused by lefties of being a fundamentalist, and by fundies of being lukewarm. I think Jesus said something to the effect of "Be hot or cold but don't be lukewarm. If you are lukewarm, the Lord will spew you from His mouth." You could say, don't wory what other people think. But that's the point. I'm interested in what other people think. So what do you think?

that can't be won? Like Pac-man, you think you just play as along as you can, but in the end the game can't be won -- eventually, Inky, Blinky, Pinky, and Clyde just get too fast; and when you're dead, you're dead. Christianity is more like the crane machine. You might have to put in some money to play, but if you put in enough, you get your reward in the end.

Wouldn't you rather get a reward, than to realize that you put in a lot of effort for nothing?

I'm writting- or trying- to write a report on whether or not prayer in school is covered under the 1st admendment of our constitution. I already have the answer to that question, but what I want are comments from people for my paper. Do you support prayer in school or are you against it? I invite anyone to comment- Buddhists, Hindus,Muslims,Jews,Atheists, Christians, whoever and whatever.
