No, you just have to be saved or born again to be able to reach him, Jesus said in John 3:3, Except a man be born again he cannot enter into the kingdom of Heaven. We must accept Jesus's offer, his free gift of salvation if we want to reach God, remember John 3:16, For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten son, that who soever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life.
