The two great commandments are to love God with all of our heart, soul, mind and strength, and to love our neighbor like we love ourselves, yet most are so self centered that they are incapable of love. Jesus said “Judge not, that ye be not judged,” in Mat 7:1, yet people are judged all the time.

He also said “For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.” in John 3:17, but people want to condemn more than they want to lead to the savior.

What’s up with that? Do we not realize that we were all dead in our sins, yet God had mercy on us? Should we not also show mercy?

In this piece, laden is demanding Pakistan basically do what he says. And Pakistan says "No". Isn't this more proof that Muslims ARE fighting back and trying to get the crazy extremists headed by him to stop? Pakistan is no role model, but at least it has the guts to come right out and tell him he has no control over them.

So what do you think of Muslims taking this action? Is it still not good enough? I mean, first there was "none speak out" and when we proved that, then it was "b b b b but that's one country", and we proved it was the world over. Now it's "why not take action" and you can see from this piece that action is being taken.

I know it's not good enough for those who just want to hate. This is in no way geared towards everyone, for I know not everyone is as ignorant as this. How does this make you feel?

How can I ask a question on here that I am interested in hearing others' answers to, without people assuming that I already have a "right" answer in mind?

Is there an accepted way to signify that I'm not full of BS or tyring to offend and/or subtly try to attack their beliefs/lack thereof?

My personal sacred space is a small area in the garden that I have planted as a Grove. It is surrounded by trees, Ash, Birch, Holly, Fig, Cherry, Elder, Apple and Sycamore with a small fire pit in the centre. It has a small altar on which I make offerings and keep a flame burning most of the time. It is my meditation space in good weather and a place where I perform ritual. I share it with friends and family too whenever the opportunity arises.
Do you have a sacred space, and will you tell me about it?

In the old, God promised to bless the people for their obedience or punish them for their transgressions, and the people agreed to His terms. It was a conditional covenant based on the ability of the people (the weaker party) to obey God. If they disobeyed there was a firm structure for punishment in place.

How does the new covenant differ. Please prove your point with scripture.

I John 5:16 If anyone sees his brother commit a sin that does not lead to death, he should pray and God will give him life. I refer to those whose sin does not lead to death. There is a sin that leads to death. I am not saying that he should pray about that. All wrongdoing is sin, and there is sin that does not lead to death.

it seems that many (not all) christians feel that when their country doesn't allow one religion (theirs) to considered above all other religions, that they're being oppressed, or discriminated against.

why did their religion evolve to such a state that they feel superior to every one else? is this one of the ways christianity recruits new members, it promises them a sense of entitlement?

I was surprised to hear a teacher tell a class of 14-16 year olds that she was a witch. I was not surprised by the fact she was, as I already knew this, but didn't expect her to tell this group of young people. I think they thought she was joking though LOL
So did anything happen that surprised you today?

First, let me say that there are a few things that are of importance to me as I gather with others (Church as we commonly refer to it).
The Essential Truth:
Jesus, who is God, crucified for our sins, is the only way by which we can be saved and brought into a relationship with God.
A few non - essentials (those things that bring deeper understanding to the essential truth);
1 Baptism in water.
2 Baptism in the Holy Spirit
3 Operation of the 5 fold Ministry (Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors and Teachers)
4 Operation of the gifts of the Holy Spirit - Tongues, prophetic words, words of knowledge, discerning of spirits, etc..
5- Operation of the gifts of Power - Healing, casting out of demons, miracles, etc..
6 Worship, through song and music, is a celebration that we will live forever and is accompanied by dancing, clapping, shouting, a time that you wish wouldn't stop.
7 Teaching/Preaching would be relevant to what the Holy Spirit is saying to us now .

Am I Invited?

You see God is supposed to know everything. So,he must have known ,what would become of us,even before we were created.Did he then intend us to be like this?? Even if you go into the 'free will" argument,God would have known what we would do with our lives. In case you are wondering,I am not an atheist.

Me friend and I are trying to figure this out. I could have sworn that Jesus said in the Bible that you can pray anywhere because God is all around you and within you so a person doesn't have to go to church to pray. Also, didn't Jesus also say something about destroying the church and rebuilding it in three days or something like that?? Any information would be a huge help and if anyone knows where to find it in the bible would also be appreciated a lot!! Thanks to everyone in advance!
