They're not. They're deluded.
There is a difference.

I agree with Cap'n Zeemboo... A lot of "Christians" do pick and choose what to believe. They will do things that are against the Bible and then defend themselves instead of saying yes they were wrong... and then go condemning other poeple for not following the Bible accurately. I don't call those people "Christians," I call them hypocrits. I have known quite a few people like that. ON THE OTHER HAND, not all Christians do that. And no they are not unenlightened or lack intellegence for believing in a Creator. That is an opinion some of you Atheists have that is wrong and judgemental. You can't complain about a Christian being judgemental if you are gonna be the same way. I call that being a hypocrit too. Especially since the "Big Bang" and other "theories" have not been proven and you only have a belief, not facts.

Because those Atheists in question believe there might be some uncertainty in the belief of the christians. That is what confusion implies.
Of course, everyone is wrong in that respect. Even the agnostics aren't so uncertain these days.

I don't think Christians are confused. I think most Christians have not studied other religions and beliefs and believe blindly. I think we all should study where our beliefs came from, and that doesn't mean just studying what you believe. I think people need to go outside their beliefs to learn what came before and after the origination of what they believe.
I personally chose to search for the origins of Christianity through science and other religions. What I found is that before tehre was a monotheistic society, there was a multitheistic society. Christians were responsible for wars that destroyed cultures and religions for centuries all in the name of spreadign God's word.
I had to ask myself the question: Where did the "ONE GOD" philosophy come from? When I discovered how recent in human history that people believed in teh "one God", I realized that it was created by man, and therefore, I couldn't put my faith in that. I also realized that I couldn't put my faith in any God that wouldn't prove his existence. Also, I wouldn't worship a God that praises destruction in his name.

Because you don't see the reality before your eyes: Because you are killing our world and either don't see it, or don't care. Any religion that forces their beliefs into LAW needs to be stopped. You don't speak for everyone in this world. Your religion is responsible for the demise of our country and our world and human history will prove it to you. You stunt the progression of mankind with your beliefs and force others to see them as "moral" and punish them if they don't. You fill our prisons, your churches do not pay taxes and you deny children the right to make up their own mind which is basically brainwashing and all the while you believe you are doing something "good". That, my friend is why you are confused.

Because they have a different outlook, and then based on that, they assume Christians are confused.
Maybe we should have more debates, to show that neither side is confused, and which side makes more sense.

lol. When you claim that science says everything came from nothing, when you claim that there's a giant fairy pixie in the sky that will send you to hell if you don't do as he says, when you claim that science says we came from monkeys, when you claim that a little boat held two of every animal on the planet, and their food, with only 8 people to take care of them for 40 days and nights, when you claim that a talking snake with legs convinced a rib woman to eat the fruit from a tree that it seems your god specifically put there to bait them but didn't tell them why, when you claim that donkeys talk, when you claim that giants exist...
YOU ARE BLOODY CONFUSED.
Use your brain, not your bible.
How can we claim you're confused? Because you talk about things that aren't even remotely possibly and expect everyone to believe them no matter how stupid it is.
Does the monster live under your bed too?
