How can you believe that things just "happen" or "exist" on their own? We sit on this huge planet spinning in space. That is bizzare in it's own rite. The sun comes up the sun goes down every day without fail. The seasons know when to change without fail. Babies are born from a sperm and egg that just "happen" to come together - the cells fall right into place - the form becomes a baby - that is a miracle. Think about how complex the human brain is and the way it runs our bodies and thinks. What about the turtles that are laid and hatch and know to go straight to the ocean - Just to name a few things. This can't just be merely chance or science or instinct or whatever you think it is. There has to be a creator.

In the Old testement the bible says that a person is to take their Tithe and go and buy food and strong drink, enjoy themselves with the money and praise God through it.

It does mention no to rob god in the Old Testement however it doenst say exactly what all the money goes to.

in the new testement that has changed from a tithe or percentage of income to just "God wants you to give what you are happy with" the percentage thing is gone.

So why oh why do so many churches get obsessed with getting as much money as possible from people.

Pastors spend a lot of time bending scripture to say you should give a minium of 10% (of course gross) and anything over that God blesses.

Its the most erroneous and unbiblical practice. Give what your happy giving and thank God. Thats all he wants.

The Witnesses make many claims in their attempt to convert you to their faith. They profess to have the only true Christian church, to be the only true representatives of God, to have the only correct biblical teaching, and to be the only true announcers of Jehovah's coming kingdom.
If they are the only true church and are the only true voice of God's word, then what they say should prove to be true, especially in prophecy. When it comes to predicting the future, the Watchtower organization fails miserably. Following are some of the false predictions made over the years by the Watchtower organization. If you present these to a JW, he will probably say something like, "Those are taken out of context," or "They didn't claim to be the prophet of God," or "The light is getting brighter and we are understanding Bible prophecy better now," etc. Make a copy of these false prophecies, found in the appendix, and give it to them to check. They are right out of the Witnesses' literature.

I hear about the similarities and differences between Muslims and Christians all the time. Some are too great to ignore, because some of the differences, as explained to me, indicate that members of Islam want to kill me and my family....that it's actually part and parcel to their religious beliefs! True? Misleading? What?

Imagine sending your children off to their public school. You think they are learning about math, history, spelling, etc.

Only later in the year do you accidently learn that each and every morning the teacher takes her Holy book from her desk and teaches the class a prayer. As they begin to learn it, they are required to recite it with her on a daily basis.

Through the year your child learns more prayers and can recite many by heart. This is the normal beginning of their school day. Say the Pledge, recite whicever prayer the teacher (holding the Holy book) picks for the day.

Would you be OK with that? It was done in the US for many, many years. It was done without regard for the beliefs of the students or their parents.

It was then (rightly) stopped and ever since Christians by the thousands have been claiming discrimination or that their god is being "removed" from the schools.

Jesus was the son of God not the same person? What is everyones thought on this? Do you believe in the trinity or do you belive these are all seperate entities?

the quote ends '...if it returns to you then it is real love'

Can a person of profound faith set that aside in an effort to learn and truly understand the beliefs and ways of thinking of another? If they do not then they are always looking at those other beliefs through a significant filter. Is a faith that is strong enough to provoke certainty also strong enough to withstand intentional doubt?

I'm a christian, so fellow christians there is no need to answer this question, I already know. I'm purposing this question to anyone else that would like to answer.

Now after searching the internet up and down, trying to find some scientist to explain how the universe came into exsistance, all I found was this.

"All of our understanding of the very early universe (cosmogony) is speculative. No accelerator experiments currently probe sufficiently high energies to provide insight into this period."

So basically stating that scientist simply do not know right now. So how can you be so sure of your science if your logic is simply "faith based logic." Truth be told there is no such thing as "logic" when it comes to the unexplainable, and you have just as much "faith" in your science, as does a religous person and there God. So please.....explain.

Mohammad said that Allah is the same god that the Israelites worship and most scholars agree that the Koran is the same account as the Old Testament, so doesn't it naturally follow that Allah = Christian God as well since Christianity is based off of Judaism? We are all worshiping the same god, right?
