In this piece, laden is demanding Pakistan basically do what he says. And Pakistan says "No". Isn't this more proof that Muslims ARE fighting back and trying to get the crazy extremists headed by him to stop? Pakistan is no role model, but at least it has the guts to come right out and tell him he has no control over them.
So what do you think of Muslims taking this action? Is it still not good enough? I mean, first there was "none speak out" and when we proved that, then it was "b b b b but that's one country", and we proved it was the world over. Now it's "why not take action" and you can see from this piece that action is being taken.
I know it's not good enough for those who just want to hate. This is in no way geared towards everyone, for I know not everyone is as ignorant as this. How does this make you feel?

Bin Laden do not represent Islam, Islam never say to fight without reason, Islam rules judge Muslims to fight people that start fighting against Muslims as Allah say in holy Qur'aan:
[2.190] Fight in the way of Allah those who fight against you, but do not aggress. Allah does not love the aggressors.
[2.191] Kill them wherever you find them. Drive them out of the places from which they drove you. Dissension is greater than killing. But do not fight them by the Holy Mosque unless they attack you there; if they fight you, kill them. Like this is the recompense of the unbelievers,
[2.192] but if they desist, know that Allah is the Forgiver and the Most Merciful.
[2.193] Fight against them until there is no dissension, and the religion is for Allah. But if they desist, there shall be no aggression except against the harmdoers.
[2.194] The sacred month for the sacred month, prohibitions are (subject to) retaliation. If any one aggresses against you, so aggress against him with the likeness of that which he has aggressed against you. Fear Allah, and know that Allah is with the cautious.

I make every effort not to classify people by their race/religion/sex/etc. There are plenty of Muslims who are as horrified by the terrorism (on both sides of the 'war') as I am.
They just don't make good TV footage.
I would love to see Musharraf take stronger action against the terroristic radicals in Pakistan, but his position is not particularly tenable and domestic politics always takes priority for a political leader.
I would also like to see 'hate speech' charges leveled against some of the more radical Christians in the US who do nothing to put Christianity in a 'high moral ground' position.

I'm a Pakistani Muslim and I say no to Mr. Bin Laden and his henchmen as well.
Bin Laden is an idiot besides a terrorist. He doesn't even care how many of us Muslims die in this fight for the 'greater good'. Urging a revolt in Pakistan will mean a lot of innocent lives being lost.

I think it's too bad that Muslims as a group are expected to have to speak out against bin Laden. Unless they were in favor of him prior, why would people expect them to have to stand up and speak out? No one is expecting all of the NFL to speak out against Michael Vick's actions with the animal cruelty (not to mention OJ's trip back into the forefront). All Christians aren't asked to answer for the actions of some religious zealots who have committed horrible acts in the name of Christianity. There are too many people who are having a hard time realizing this equation isn't necessarily true: Muslim = Terrorist/Threat/Danger/Etc. ... I think xenophobia plays a big part in this as well, as Islam seems to be such a foreign thing to many people...

Because it happened without notifying the Pakistan government that it would happen. The Pakistanis were not informed of the attack because the U.S. thought they would leak the info of the attack to Bin Laden.

That'd be fine if they'd only be more cooperative in helping the US hunt him down as well.

Good for President Musharraf. It's unfortunate we will be watching his funeral soon. You know if Bin laden wants him dead, he's dead!
