Winning team/Best religion...It's all on the same level, isn't it?

I mean really now, how does much does it matter which intellectual beliefs reside in a particular human brain, that translate into, or even begin to penetrate an invisible soul?

The fact remains, that religions & sports teams are ultimately all about money...

Yes, good analogy.

There is no more or less substantial evidence for any of the current religions that there is for the Greek pantheon.

If we are basing our beliefs on how much evidence is available (as we should in all areas of our life), there is no compelling reason to choose any religion over another. Since most of them are mutually exclusive anyway, a rational person is really forced to be agnostic. To subscribe to any one religion is to admit pure and obvious irrationality.

Not according to the founder of Christianity.
He said:
"Broad and spacious is the road leading off into destruction, and MANY are the ones going in through it, whereas narrow is the gate and cramped the road leading off into life, and FEW are the ones finding it." Matthew 7:13.
It would seem most 'sports teams' will lead us the wrong way.

Not if God actually exists and inspires revelation. Were the Philistines just rooting for a different team than the Israelites under Moses? (Now if you are referring to the doctrines of men, e.g. denominational doctrines, that is a different story)

Faith in God is infinitely more substantial to our existence than 'football season' but since you like analogies...try this one...

The ball is kicked perfectly. You see it coming towards you and you look up to catch it....it lands in your chest like it was meant to and you hear the screams of the people as you run with the ball clutched under your arm. You feel elated as you run, run run....but something doesnt seem right. You look up at the stands and see a sea of faces screaming for you to turn around "you're going the wrong way!!" they yell frantically.. You look towards the end zone in time to see the uprights become towers of fire. You break the plane and get pounced on by demons....touchdown- you lose.

It is true that their are two teams, however one is the way to destruction and the other to eternal life. I suppose that when you choose one over the other, you are rooting for the final outcome for yourself and the subjects of each team.

P.S. Read the end of the Bood, there is already a winner, Jesus and those who love and follow Him.

Yes, and the answers you're going to get from religious people will pretty much prove your point.

I suppose if you consider God and matters of love, heaven, hell, morality, salvation, sin, ethics, and good conduct no more important than which color the guy under the helmet is wearing...
