It itn't really free will if you're threatening damnation if you don't follow one choice. It's making a choice under duress. If you sign a document because someone has a gun to your head, that document is not binding because you didn't sign it under your own free will.
Hell is the gun that God holds to our heads when he tells us we have free will.

I believe anyone who commits suicide has a mental disorder. I really do. God knows the heart and the mind. I believe he takes this into consideration as no one really knows fully what they are doing when they have mental issues. I have had major depressive episodes over the last 16 years off and on and I know that during those times I was not thinking straight. I even contimplated suicide. Thank God and thank my fabulous doctor for finding the right combo of medication. I am well and happy today and have been for about 6 months now.

it is still murder. Murder is taking life from this earth, including your own. But, it also adds the element that if you commit suicide you are also giving up. Committing suicide is a very selfish act in that all you want is to give up to relieve all the pressures on you life, with no regard as to how it affects anyone around you.
IMO, Not only when you find what you could have had if didn't commit suicide being very troublesome. all problems can be resolved eventually and you can be happier and stronger because of it. Don't Give Up!

Free will is not absolutely free. It was given by God to every human person to conform with his Divine Will. To commit suicide is a sin because it is contrary to the Divine Will - the fifith commandment.

God gave us the right to exercise our agency, to choose right or wrong, but He also set consequences to our choices for good and for ill. The right to give and take life is His domain and not ours. He therefore commanded us to love one another, not to hate and hurt. That goes for our own mortality as well as that of others. If we suffer in this life, it is usually for our growth and development, to learn something from our hard times. If we endure our sufferings and sacrifices, He will bless us for our constancy and obedience. If we quit the race and give up on our own mortality, then God will remove the blessings that could have been ours and we will reap the torment of knowing that we fell short in God's eyes.
In the parable of the talents, the man that hid his talent and tried to give back that which he was given, was chastised and condemned for not trying to be productive. So will it be for the person that terminates his own life. You quit trying to live a good life. You hid your talent and God will not be pleased with your effort.
Having said that, I will add a caveat. There are people that are not fully responsible for their actions and I believe God will be more merciful to those that had little control over themselves. I speak specifically about those that are perhaps mentally unbalanced due to drug usage, whether prescribed or not, causing emotional upheavals. It is for God to decide who is responsible and who is not when it comes to suicide. He knows what trouble we may be enduring and what our limits of control might be.

you're able to actual must be dealing with lots to choose to try this. this is merely no longer marvelous thinking to choose to try this. a man or woman gets overwhelmed with existence and familiar jobs and use suicide for a fashion out. existence and the physique are a present from God, and via destroying them is to assert God is incorrect. even however I been the place your at many situations. try different procedures instead of drugs because of the fact some gets you hooked, and once you go with to stop you would be in worse shape than earlier.

Free will is not synonymous with the right to do anything you will freely. Certain actions are permitted, others are forbidden, free will in this case is only the ability to decide which actions you take. If you commit a forbidden act, expect to be punished for it.
Disclaimer: I'm an atheist determinist, but I'm setting that aside for purposes of this question.

What do you think free will means? Anything goes? God has clearly revealed His will for how we live our lives. Free will means the freedom to choose good and recveive salvation, or to choose evil and receive condemnation. Yes, we have the ability to choose suicide, or murder, or adultery, or any of the kinds of behavior God has forbidden. But if we choose them we will suffer the consequences of our freely chosen actions.

it's always one's own free will to commit any sin.
That doesn't mean there is no sin.

You either have free will or you don't. The first step to giving up your free will is to believe there is sin.
