Because I'm finding it hard to condem people, especially those who are nothing really to do with me. Do I have to burn all my films and Queen CD's?

What if you had scuba gear and an acid-resistant wetsuit? Could you climb all the way through and pop out the other end? Just curious.....no reason or anything.

Do people really believe we kill babies and drink their blood??
I cant believe that people actually believe we're a bunch of evil satan worshippers. I saw some websites that were just HORRIBLE. Telling people Gothics are evil, satanic and want to kill.
Do people ACTUALLY believe that??

I was thinking, about what Heaven will be like. I know it will be wonderful, and though I don’t know exactly what it will be like, I know that nothing will be bad. The Bible even says, a Lion shall lay down with a lamb! But I was thinking, all the wonderful and good things on earth, things that you love, would you still be able to have or do them in Heaven? Like I absolutely Love being outside and Fall/Winter weather. How the seasons change, will it be like that in Heaven? Cause the seasons are a good and amazing thing God made. I just wanted to know your thoughts about it. To all the people who believe this way. I really want to know.
Please, if you don’t believe in God, that’s okay, and I would love to here what all people think about my question and about heaven, but please no rude comments or immaturity, thank you. <3

My wife is a Christian and I am somewhere in between Deist and Agnostic. Despite our religious differences, we have a wonderful marriage. We rarely talk about our individual beliefs. We have kind of agreed to disagree. Now, we have two small children, ages 3 and 18 months. About a year ago, I agreed to begin attending a non-denominational Christian Church with my wife and kids, simply so that my kids could be around other children in a relatively positive environment. My 3 and a half year old son has begun asking me questions about God. Right now, I am able to give him broad, generic answers without having to lie to him. However, I know that his questions are going to become more detailed and I will be forced to either tell him that I do not believe in the God they teach him about at Church, or I will have to lie and pretend that I believe all of what they are teaching him at Church. Besides my Dad, everyone that knows my children are Christians. If I tell my son that Church is essentially b.s., it will possibly ruin my marriage. Any suggestions on how to handle this?

Is your religion or concept likely to be suited to the genre of music you listen to?
For example, the majority of people into heavy/black metal would mostly be self-proclaimed athiests etc etc...
And people into classical would be more spiritual, religious etc etc...
This is based on people around my life anyway but are the two combined in some way? I have always noticed the connection but would like your views on this.

There are a total of four known dimensions - width, height, length and time. Do you think that there may be more dimensions out there, and possibly one of them be what we call today a Spiritual dimension? Should we not be too fast excluding God from the picture.

If attempting to prove the nonexistence, please use simple, logic and clear statements and vocabulary.
If you cannot prove the nonexistence of God, don't Christians deserve a right to believe what they experienced supernaturally?

I am not so interested in hearing about catholics and saint worship, but a real example of idolatry. Worshiping of Idols was a big thing back in the day. I need to find a modern example of something that is that important.

For instance, did they worship idols because they believed in other gods or because the rest of society did. That's what I am driving at.

Opinions?

Why then is it considered appropriate to wear the symbol of the cross around your neck? Is it right to wear the instrument that killed Jesus around your neck?

Many people feel that it shows how strong a Christian they are. Some wear it for sentimental value. Others do it purely for fashion.

But

Is this right? Would Jesus approve of it?

I mean, they say can’t help themselves and that God wants them to be that way – bigoted – but how can they twist God’s holy words to fit their own perverted desires to hate?

Hear God's Holy Words, bigots! Leviticus 19:18, 2 Samuel 1:26, Zechariah 8:17, Matthew 19:19, Matthew 22:39, Mark 12: 31-33, Luke 10:27, Romans 13:9 – 10, Galations 5:14, James 2:8, Romans 12:10, Romans 14:15, 2 Corinthians 13:11, Galatians 5:13, Philippians 4:8, 1 Thessalonians 4:9, James 2:5.

How can they get around Holy Scripture to defend their sinful lifestyle?

I think we gay people should pray for them, but not be deceived by their wicked ways.

Be HEALED haters and bigots!

PS. Yes this is a spoof of their ragging on us, so just chill, ok?

Why can't there be an open, intelligent conversation between Christians and the science community or atheists without anyone getting ugly or offensive? Why does it seem Christians must PROVE themself and their beliefs to be right? Wouldn't the world be a better place if there was room for everyone to seek thier own answers and find the truth in their own heart without being condmed for it?

Please, I am not trying to start an arguemnt, I would just like a discussion that is done with respect for both parties. I am not implying all Christians are this way either, but the majoirty who post or answer questions in this forum seem to be so.

so, explain why its year 2007 and not year 2,000,000 whatever years? since you atheists think that the world is millions and billions of years old.

well my answer to why its 2007 is because when Jesus was born, thats when the years started. yes, there were atleast 2,000 years before Jesus was born (on earth) but not millions or billions of years

God bless!

Okay, this may not be the most brilliant argument you have heard, but follow along. Scientists have, for the most part, concluded that evolution occurs. You may argue about the extent and extremes of which evolution can change things, but fundamentally speaking, the concept is valid. Now, just like nature has produced us through evolution of millions of years, it can be said that some sort of metaphysical evolution can also take place. Suppose this metaphysical evolution created a God! Just like evolution created us through its process, why couldn't it have created a God as well? Of course, everyone would still be stuck trying to understand where the material to create everything came from, but nobody really thinks about evolution creating a supernatural being. Seems like a possible prospect to me, and it would explain God's existence...

But anyway, it's just a thought. Tell me what you think about it, and sorry for the big words.

these make up the three portions of the Asatru concept of time. COuld you explain to me what these three "Norns" mean???

Wyrd is the Norn of Past.

Verdrandi is the norn of present.

But as i understand it Skuld, is NOT future.

From what i have heard, the Asatruars don't believe the future has come yet therefore ther is no future, only past and the ever comming present.

(I will be asking more on this later.)

So what is Skuld???

Thanks!
