What if you had scuba gear and an acid-resistant wetsuit? Could you climb all the way through and pop out the other end? Just curious.....no reason or anything.

Probably about 30 seconds or so. I am sure it would be a pretty miserable 30 seconds.

I think some Christian TV Network should test this for about 72 hours on a famous TV evangelist such as Pat Robertson. The ratings alone would make them a fortune.

This never happened. It was another story told that got taken literally. It's impossible to survive inside the belly of a large fish because you'd be DIGESTED.... Nothing can stop this. No miraculous ceasing of the digestive system is possible.

Logic, people.....

I know that there are instances when men have been swallowed by whales and lived. Now about an acid-resistant wetsuit....I am not sure.

The true miracle you see here is:

Grown adults, in this day and age, actually believe this happened.

Why do they believe it? Because it's in their favorite mythology book, ye olde Christian bible.

Think about that for just a second folks. Just think literally, for just a second... Do you REALLY believe that a man was swallowed by a whale, lived in his stomach for 3 days, and then was spit back out?

Now if you want to call that a miracle (ie: it were magic!), then why do you not also believe the Chinese stories about the boy who swallowed the whole ocean, or the Greek stories where Zeus stopped by the earth one day and impregnated one of our women? (That's not much of a stretch from your beliefs, now is it?)

Them were magic too, uh huh, uh huh... Yet they seem silly to you, I imagine?

Now you know how the rest of us view you trying to rationalize Jonah's fish story. Please folks, you make me weep for our future. You really do.

I think they're going to do a 'inside a whale' Survivor Man episode this season. Watch and see.

Im guessing your refering to Jonah. The bible says that God prepared a fish Jonah 1:17. What this preparation entailed i dont know. Just what Jonah needed i guess.

It depends whether God wants me to live or not. If not, probably about 6 minutes. If He wants me to live, at least three days or longer.

"We are two mariners
Our ships' sole survivors
In this belly of a whale

Its ribs are ceiling beams
Its guts are carpeting
I guess we have some time to kill..."
