Is it just a personality difference?

Does it have to do with how we were raised?

If there were empirical evidence of, for instance, God, would it change anything for those that don't worship?

The asker removed this question:

Why is there no mention of Jesus outside the Bible or Koran?

I was disappointed because I wanted to know where Jesus is mentioned outside the Bible & Koran (surely he must have been!)

Please cite... otherwise your words are meaningless to me

God calls each of us to be visionary leaders, but we must (((be careful))) that vision is born out of (((His Spirit, and His Word,))) not the latest self-help program. These ideas lead us away from dependence on God to a self-based psychology designed to give us more power, prosperity, and significance.

The result is heresy. Our faith in God becomes faith in faith. It is born out of hard work and diligence rather than obedience to God's Spirit. The problem lies in that these philosophies sound good, and can even be supported by some Bible verses. Beware of anything that puts the burden of performance on you rather than God. There are times in our lives when God doesn't want us to climb every mountain. Sometimes He wants us to go around. Knowing the difference is the key to being a man or woman led by the Spirit and Word of God.

I'll agree that the only type of evolution is micro-evolution (variation within one kind) if you'll agree that all living things are of the "life" kind. Do you accept?

That the fruit was an apple when in fact the Bible does not say what type of fruit it actually was but only that it looked desirable to the eyes of Eve.

(Genesis 3:6) . . .Consequently the woman saw that the tree was good for food and that it was something to be longed for to the eyes, yes, the tree was desirable to look upon. So she began taking of its fruit and eating it. . .

if youre born in a country that is mostly christian, you will most likely be christian or atheist(because christian countries give the right). if youre born in muslim country, you will most likely be muslim. same for hindus, same for buddhists. most people dont choose their religion, its taught to them.

but who taught you that your religion is true and the other religions are false? an old book? every religion claims to have miracles. every religion has contradictions and proof for itself. why do you think your religion is better or truer than another, if most of you have never tried it? if there is someone who has tried *all* religions and says that my toilet seat is the true god, then ok.

they all claim that they are the right way. why? any "god" could have done the miracle right? even a toilet seat.

Since philosophy is an analysis of life, then the study of philosophy depends not only on verifiable facts of reality but also an individual person's account of life.

Do you think that modern society does not taken philosophy seriously because they have not found a trustworthy person they are willing to listen to?

..One, (a stupid 50yr old man), Was Trying To Make A Free Right Turn At A Red Light. The Other (a stupid 37yr old woman) Was Attempting To Walk Across The Street In The Cross Walk From The Stupid Mans Right. Neither One Of Them Looked At Each Other To See What The Other Was Going To Do. Next Thing I Saw Was The Stupid Woman Walking While The Stupid Man Turned Right, Hitting Her & Knocking Her On Her Butt.

Why Do People Not Look (especially pedestrians) And Falsely Assume Everything Is Okay, When It Ain't???
WHAT IS WRONG WITH THESE STUPID PEOPLE???
..Any Opinions???

correct?

why then don't non-Catholics believe in Mary's Assumption into heaven? In a sense, it was a "mini-Rapture." As a matter of biblical fact, Mary was not the first to be assumed into heaven. Elijah the prophet was assumed. (2 Kings 2:11)

As Mary was the first Christian and first Disciple of the Lord, it would make sense that she would be the first to experience Rapture in the new age.

Peace be with you.

Serious answers only.
- How do I know that God exists?
- How do I know that Jesus is the only way to God?
Please don't use the "Bible says so" argument, because we first need to prove the authority of the writer - God/Jesus.

Please explain it logically, in detail.

Dear God:
I know that I'm a sinner. I deserve Hell. But You sent Jesus to die for my sins. I believe that He died and rose again. I ask you now to forgive my sins, once an for all. I now receive Jesus Christ as my Lord and Personal Saviour. Please come into my heart and save me, Help me to know I am saved and live for You, the rest of my life. In Jesus' Name I pray, Amen.

Genesis 2:24
For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and they will become one flesh

John 17:6
...so that they may be one as we are one.

21 that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you.

===============
Is it do to the poor translation of the Greek word that was translated to "one"?

OR, is it due to this question?
