Dear God:
I know that I'm a sinner. I deserve Hell. But You sent Jesus to die for my sins. I believe that He died and rose again. I ask you now to forgive my sins, once an for all. I now receive Jesus Christ as my Lord and Personal Saviour. Please come into my heart and save me, Help me to know I am saved and live for You, the rest of my life. In Jesus' Name I pray, Amen.

Do you really want to know or is this simply an attempt to convert those who do not agree with your religious beliefs?

If you really want to know, read on. I hope my explanation will give you the peace you need to live your own life happily and fulfilled in your convictions.

If you are attempting to convert me, I will save your time and tell you now that I am completely, spiritually happy and fulfilled in my current belief system and that you would be wasting your time attempting to convert me, especially in a passive way such as a web-posting.

I have not accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior because I believe he was a man, not a deity. He was a kind, loving and considerably intelligent man who had a wonderful message for those who wished to listen. I admire him and wish that there were more people like him. He did not force others to agree with him or his beliefs. He was peaceful, caring, kind and giving. He was a prophet and a great minister but not a deity.

I'm not sure how you will choose a "top answer" from this as everyone's will be completely different. It is a completely personal relationship one has with his or her chosen deity and the journey toward that relationship will be unique for all. Again, I hope that whatever answers others give, you find peace and joy in your own faith and allow others to find peace and joy on their own journey.

Thats not how you are saved. Im sorry.
James 2:19 19Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.

John 3:3-5, 3Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.4Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born?
5Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

Acts 2:38 38Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Acts 8:15- 1715Who, when they were come down, prayed for them, that they might receive the Holy Ghost:
16(For as yet he was fallen upon none of them: only they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.) 17Then laid they their hands on them, and they received the Holy Ghost.

Acts 2:4 4And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

Hope this enlightened you

I'd rather believe in myself. Also, if you truly feel so negatively (I'm horrible, I deserve to suffer all eternity, etc), you should probably visit a psychologist.

"I have something to say to the religionist who feels atheists never say anything positive: You are an intelligent human being. Your life is valuable for its own sake. You are not second-class in the universe, deriving meaning and purpose from some other mind. You are not inherently evil -- you are inherently human, possessing the positive rational potential to help make this a world of morality, peace and joy. Trust yourself." -Dan Barker

I do not believe in resurrection, immaculate conception, the drinking of blood or a sky god. Therefore I do not believe in the saving power of some religious zealot from the middle east. I enjoy knowing that I don't fill my head with useless stories from unreliable sources, who also have a very shady history.

No disrespect to you, but you're giving the impression that because you accepted Jesus (Allah's Peace be upon him) as your Lord and Savior, you're going to heaven; those who haven't are going to "that other place". That's very arrogant and un-Christian.

A Muslim sister friend of mine once encountered a Christian who told her she was going to hell. Her response: "Well, I guess I have to go to hell then." And that was the end of the conversation. It wouldn't be surprising if you've gotten this same response from Muslims and other non-Christians who don't believe exactly like you do. Almighty God decides who will be granted Paradise and who won't.

Jesus(PBUH*) is not a "God" or a "son of" God. ALLAH(SWT) has no partners or sons. ALLAH(SWT) is the only God worthy of worship. The "Trinity" doesn't exist either. Jesus(PBUH*) is the Messiah and never said he was a "god" or a "son of" God. There is only one God. There is no "Trinity". Jesus(PBUH*) is a servant of ALLAH(SWT) in Islam and is a Prophet born to the virgin Mariam. Jesus(PBUH*) never said for people to worship him like a God. Jesus(PBUH*) did not "Die" on a cross. ALLAH(SWT) terminated Prophet Jesus(PBUH*) life on Earth but Jesus(PBUH*) is alive in Jinnah and will come back to kill the Djjal. I was Christian before I reverted to Islam and I didn't agree with a "Trinity" because the Bible says that "You shall have no other Gods before me". That means not putting up men or animals as Lords besides or above ALLAH(SWT) which is what Christians do. I also didn't like how Christianity had to say about women. Alhamdullilah I am Muslim and will be Muslim until I die. As a woman I have more rights in Islam then I had as a Christian.

Jesus, just a man, even if he ever did actually exist, does not deserve our praise, and most likely never even died on the cross(or never came back from the dead, either or).

Because I am Jewish and Jesus did not fulfill the prophecies of the expected Messiah. I'm happy for you that you have found what suits your soul; allow me the courtesy of choosing what suits mine. Have a good day!

Because whoever wrote the nt did not read the bible he was trying to graft his books into, and even 2000 years of explanations have not cleared up the holes.

Human beings are not divine and not worthy of worship. Deities are unproved entities and not worthy of worship when there is no empirical proof.

Jesus the Nazarene was human.
