because oysters have evolved to such a great degree of intelligence that they actually know how to break into jewelry stores, and they steal the manufactured pearls from there, insert them into their own bodily orifices, then sneak back to the ocean or to their personal oyster farms, knowing that their own species will be protected bc the stupid homo sapiens will not kill them as long as they are producing what appear to be real pearls. When, the truth is, there is no such thing as oyster-made pearls. They are all plastic. Sort of like some deities.
But don't tell the pearl lovers. You know them. They drive SUVs and wear their hair in upswept buns and they often wear too much eye make up. They also sometimes go to operas when they can't stand opera music..

Oysters don't evolve into pearls, they create them. It's like saying if poop comes from cats, why are there still cats?

uhhh....oysters create the pearls from a grain of sand...so shouldn't you ask why there is still sand?
Anyway...if humans made cars...then why are there still cars?
