No. I am a Christian of the non-homophobic variety. I do not hate or condemn gays. Never have, never will. And I also own several Queen CDs and a book by Quentin Crisp, so I think you'll be okay there.

You wouldn't be a very good Christian if you "condemn" any group of people! I don't believe Jesus would have us do anything but love each other. I realize a lot of people think that being "gay" is a reason to turn their back on that person, but in truth, that is the time to rise up as a Christian and never turn your back on them! No one chooses to be gay. How many straight men/women do you know that would/could choose that lifestyle? None! It's not a choice! It's technically not a sin to be gay. It's a sin to act on gay feelings, but it's no more a sin than any other sin we commit every single day. Don't let any group of people make you feel "sinful" for befriending gay people, watching your films, listening to your cd's, etc. I had a hard time knowing how God would have me deal with gay people, but you come to a point in life that you realize God wants you to love everyone!

Yes, to be a Christian at all you must hate gay men and lesbians. Don't look for it in the Bible, it's not there, but God's very own sub-gods, assistant gods, associate gods, and gods-in-training, the Christian Fundamentalists, have it directly from God that he hates a lot of things and people. Only they have the heavenly list, but, being Christians, they happily share it with us mere mortals. Hate is super important to the Fundies; the more a Fundy hates, the more God loves them.

I'm a Christian & I don't hate gays. That's a widely believed WRONG misconception about Christians. It's a sin to hate anybody. Jesus Christ died for ALL of us & his blood covers ALL sin...even the sin of homosexuality. That said, we cannot be a Christian and condone the homsexual lifestyle. In essence....we love the sinner but hate the sin. Homosexuals choose to see this as us being "homophobic" which by definition means AFRAID of gay people. I'm not afraid of them. I'm more afraid of not telling them the truth...that their lifestyle is sinful & that they must repent & be saved to see the kingdom of God. Yet, when we do that, out of love & concern for their souls we are seen as haters. We will ALL have to stand before God one day & answer for the choices we make. It's not your place to condemn people. People condemn themselves by their own actions & the choices they make. But we also can't condone sinful lifestyles or behavior. Calling the lifestyle of a homosexual sin is NOT condemnation. It's truth. The wages of sin is death. Those aren't my words but God's...straight from the Holy Bible.
A good rule of thumb I use about the movies I see & the music I listen to is this....would I be comfortable watching this movie or listening to this music with Jesus Christ sitting right beside me. If the answer is "no" you need to get rid of it.

No, you should not hate them. Even God loves gays, He just does not approve of the lifestyle.

NO, Christians aren’t suppose to HATE anyone... we aren't the judge God is.... let him decide who will and who won't go to heaven... the Lord commands us to love our neighbor as ourselves. even if they are our enemy. the bible says to bless those who curse you... i don't believe God wants us to hate anyone... the only people Jesus "hated" was those who said with their lips they loved God but their actions spoke differently

It's never ok to hate ANYONE. And Christians don't hate homosexuals (they aren't gay), we pray for them to repent and turn to Jesus, just as you have done.
God bless you!
