Wow, fantastic argument. Some religious people roll their eyes when issues arise that deal with the seperation of church and state. For example prayer in school or biblical displays outside courtrooms etc.
But in the bible it says:
Matthew 16:19
I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven."
So whether you agree with man's laws or not you must follow mans law. It says so in your own book.

I know, many christians want to show what they really worship. Money. Every church asks for it. The christians demanded that their god is put on the money. It is all about money. However, there are citizens of this country who also have rights. One of those rights is the ability to choose their religion and the right to not have a government that chooses a religion. Christians labelling their true god is something that should just not be done. Lets get the government to religion neutral so everyone can have their freedom.
I wonder what will happen when printed money is passe. We are already moving in that direction. Credit and debit cards are being used more and more. At some point the government will realize that it costs too much to print money and we will just starting using the electronic system that is growing as we speak. There will be no way that a law can be passed that requires all credit or debit cards to reference a god.

I can honestly say I never even notice that inscription unless it is pointed out to me. I find it meaningless and far from noteworthy.

Besides. In the Star Trek world, there was no need for money.
