Is it a feel good title? Is it something people call themselves for hope of feeling saved. Christianity should be something more than just a title. Believing in Christ doesn't make you a Christian.

Sura 5:51.

"O ye who believe! Take not Jews and Christians for your friends and protectors; they are but friends and protectors to each other. And he amongst you that turns to them (for friendship) is of them. Verily God guideth not a people unjust."

I do believe in God and all, but I have a question for christians about gay people. By the way, GO GAYS! YOU GUYS ROCK! Never be afraid to show you you really are! And dont listen to the people that say otherwise!
But I posted a question, and a lot of people said "You will go to hell for being gay" or "Being gay is a sin" or "Being gay is WRONG and you are all mistakes"....
Well.....ummmm.....God doesn't make mistakes....
So all of you bible beaters...are you saying god made a mistake? Are you suggest that YOU are right and god is wrong???
You are all entitled to a opinion, but dont drag god into it...
The bible said "Whoever shall believe in him, will not perish but have everlasting life"
It didn't say "Whoever is straight that believes in him, will not parish..."
I'm not trying to preach, I am just trying to prove that dragging god into sexuality is wrong and stupid. I believe in God, but you look like an idiot when you use God as an answer for everything...

What do you think of Carlton Pearson?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carlton_Pearson
He preaches what he calls the 'Doctrine of Inclusion' which states hell is on earth and everyone goes to heaven.
He believes the church uses hell to scare people. He's one of the few Christian theologians I respect as an Atheist.
What do you, as Christians, think of him?

Lets say that you have been religious and praying all of your life, then one day God told you that no matter what, you have to go to hell for whatever reason. Would you continue to pray? Would you give up on your religion?

This question has two components which wouldn't completely fit in the space alloted.

1. Was Eve geographically lost or disorientated ...
2. and completely ignorant of the significance of her location ...

...as she approached the place of her temptation?

If the answer to either of these is no, "what do you think was the motivation of Eve to approach the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil?

Any comments denouncing the authority of biblical scripture will be IGNORED!

I find it hard to believe just like you are going to hard to find it hard to believe what I am going to share with you it's weird I know and if I were not a believer I would think I was NUTS lol. Out of nowhere people are going to vanish caos is going to happen and you are going to wonder what the hell just happend. It's called the Rapture it's when people who are saved will be snatched up and live with God in Heaven. After this will come the 7 years of tribulation where famines will accure, draught, ETC it will be a terrible time that non believers will have to endure. There will be a person that takes on the leader position that will want world peace (Antichrist). People will love this man and will want to follow him. There will be people that were left behind that remember what there loved one's had told them about God and what I am telling you! You too can be with us in Heaven if you refuse the mark of the Beast and die as a marter by Guillitine. Crazy I know but REMEMBER THIS!!!

Think about it. Heaven sounds great because you can do whatever you want, but it probably is similar to earth, as in you can't do something that offends someone else. No matter what, you are going to offend somebody, and if you were in heaven, you wouldn't be able to be around someone that you could offend. Sounds complicated to me.

However, Hell is all about evil. All of the bad things are a part of hell; such as drinking, smoking, paying for sex, doing drugs, etc. So for people who enjoy partying and living it up, would hell be a cool place for them to be? It sounds like they could have a lot of fun.

Recently I have looked at my encyclopidia & was interested as of what was the Christian & Jewish point of view of the prophets I was shocked to find out the result. The prophets were viewed upon as great sinners. This is some of the things I found:
Lut: His daughters had put alchohol in his food, making him drunk, & made sex with their own father.

Aaron: When Moses went away Aaron made a golden calf for people to worship, & that is shirk (Associating Allah with something else) so how can a prophet make the greatest sin?

Noah: After the flood he had discovered Wine & became a hopeless drunk.

David: They claim that David is a bastard. A prophet has to be clean even from the parents.

Catholics and Protestants agree that to be saved, you have to be born again. Jesus said so: "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God" (John 3:3).

When a Catholic says that he has been "born again," he refers to the transformation that God’s grace accomplished in him during baptism. Evangelical Protestants typically mean something quite different when they talk about being "born again."

For an Evangelical, becoming "born again" often happens like this: He goes to a crusade or a revival where a minister delivers a sermon telling him of his need to be "born again."

"If you believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and believe he died for your sins, you’ll be born again!" says the preacher. So the gentleman makes "a decision for Christ" and at the altar call goes forward to be led in "the sinner’s prayer" by the minister. Then the minister tells all who prayed the sinner’s prayer that they have been saved—"born again."

The approach to authority is very different in the ancient Church than in the modernist Protestant church. The Catholic Church follows the “Word of God alone” while the Protestant ecclesiastical groups follow Sola Scriptura which states that only God’s written word is authoritative. The latter is a sixteenth century man made doctrine designed to destroy the unity of the Church and fragments the entire body of Christ by exponentially increasing schisms caused by accepting only part of God’s word by the Protestants. Sola Scriptura is not a doctrine for a better understanding of the Logos but instead is designed to circumvent the legitimate authority of the Church given by Christ.
It is the belief of the ancient Church that is the Magisterium of the Church that has the authority given by Christ to expound on, recognize and guard the Word of God. The Word of God is not only the written Scriptures but all that is handed to the Church by the Holy Spirit. In so doing and carrying out her responsibility the Church is the true servant of the Word.
God’s people have never been Sola Scriptura advocates. In Jesus’ day the orthodox Jews were not, nor were Jesus or the apostles. The continuation Sola Verbum Dei is a theological continuation of God’s Word from the Old Covenant to the New. The only ones who believed in anything resembling Sola Scriptura were the Sadducees who were the theological liberals of their day. We know that the first century Christians did not believe in Sola Scriptura by the teaching of St. Paul in Holy writ:
(2Th 2:15 DRB) (2:14) Therefore, brethren, stand fast: and hold the traditions, which you have learned, whether by word or by our epistle.

The Church teaches that the Word of God is the Logos:

(Joh 1:1 DRB) In the beginning was the Word: and the Word was with God: and the Word was God.

(Joh 1:2 DRB) The same was in the beginning with God.

(Joh 1:3 DRB) All things were made by him: and without him was made nothing that was made.

(Joh 1:4 DRB) In him was life: and the life was the light of men.

So the question among Christians should not be what is the Word but instead how is the Word revealed to man. To the Protestant the Word is only revealed in written form called Sola Scriptura. To the Catholic Christian the word has a much broader meaning and is revealed to man in more than a written form where men were inspired to reveal God’s Word. Catholics believe that inspiration is not only personal as with the biblical writers but is also revealed to and through the Church such as in the Ecumenical Councils and through the authority exercised through the Church to recognize, guard, interpret and teach the Word. The Church throughout history has faithfully exercised her authority to guard the word of God against the attacks of heresies, such as Sola Scriptura.

In Christ
