also begins the new year in the secular calendar Tishri or Etanim, Am i right?

Ramadan is celebrated by muslims.

Rosh HaShana is celebrated by Jews.
And yes it is now Tishrei 2, 5768. The new year began at sunset last evening, 1 Tishrei.

BTW the secular calendar begins January 1- I'm assuming you know that and just mistyped, though. ;-)

The Jewish new year- Rosh haShana- is 1 Tishri on the HEBREW calendar and has nothing to do with the secular calendar- it also, most certainly, has nothing to do with the fact that Ramadan is at approximately the same time

No, that is the 7th month in the Jewish calender. This is Rosh Hashana, the Jewish New Year and in 10 days, I will be Yom Kippur, the Jewish day of atonement.
