The spirit keeps connected to the body for some time, but that depends on how the person died. If the person died of age or disease, the spirit keeps connected to the body for a few hours. People murdered or victims of any kind of accident, their spirits can keep in the body for days. Suicidal might stay inside the body for months. However, during this period, the spirit is unconscious.

My religion is Spiritism.

Peace!

I have not died yet, so I have no clue. I have had a near death experience however, and I can tell you that when I passed out and the nurse could not find my pulse, I had the most amazing dream. I was at the entrance of Heaven. Don't know if we will be resurrected immediately and taken to Heaven or if we will have to wait until God calls us back to life again on the day of Resurrection. Have no clue. I only know that there are not 3 stages after death. You die and then you awake again for God's judgment. Don't know when the waking up part takes place, but I do believe it to be so.

Are you talking about physically or spiritually 'cuz there's like 3 stages either way?
I know that physically the body's temp. drops 1 degree every hour till it is equal to the air around it and rigor mortis sets in, eye color changes sometimes. Next the blood drains towards wherever gravity pulls it leaving the body pale and rigor mortis leaves the muscles loose and sagging. Then decomposition begins, but I don't want to go in to that.
No one knows about spiritually, but I believe that the spirit is aware of what is going on and especially their loved ones for so long like 2hours-6months they can appear to their loved ones through sight, touch, smell, and other ways I have had these experiences when my momma died at the young age of 33 and I remember after 4months of little subtle messages in a dream she told me that it was going to be too hard for her to come back to me. Then I think they have to come to terms with everything and they are at peace so they go into a resting period where I do not know and I believe they remain in that peaceful stage until Judgement Day comes and the Lord calls them forth from the grounds and I think then they are reunited with their bodies which have been made new and gloriously different and then whatever happens after that happens, but that's just my theory.

At the end of the mortal bodies usefulness the soul seperates from the body... how, and what is involved, is not known to any living mortal. The soul will sleep. The souls of those of The Church will be called up by Christ to come to Him at The Rapture. They will then stand before Christ to be judged and receive the rewards they have earned. They then will enter Heaven. After that, what happens is a subject that is not in any way clear... but it will be a very positive experience........ For the souls of those who rejected God, they will sleep untill called up at the final judgment and will be cast away and be eternaly seperated from God... this will be a very bad thing for them

The body decomposes. Their are said to be different Bardo's. Off the top of my head, I believe life is one, initial death is another, and becoming into life is a third.. there is a fourth, it may be the transitional in between death and becoming.

This is Buddhism

it decays and becomes parth of earth. I'm not so sure about the three stages after death, but that is just a theory. No one can really know what happenes after your soul leaves the pyshical body.

Ive heard there are 5 stages of death as they are dying
A nurse told me that as my Mother was going to be with Jesus
I think once dead you are dead but the soul lives on
It goes to where it has chosen in this life

I have no idea about such "stages", but may be.
I only know that the Bible says when we are "absent from the body we are present with the Lord".., that is; those who belong to him BEFORE they die.
If not, then we are dead and ABSENT from the Lord in the waiting place for judgment wherever that is and I don't want to know!

You know the only reason people think there is something after death is because they are scared there will be nothing... There is nothing after you die when you die you die. The end. There is nothing after death NOTHING. So get over it and start living like there is no tomorrow and stop worrying about something you can never change or do anything about.
