Yeah -- what Tony said: We're not perfect, but trying to get there.

The famous author G. K. Chesterson wrote this: It's not that Christianity doesn't work. It's just that nobody's tried it yet.

Because we are human and the lusts of the flesh and of the pride of our eyes gets in the way, and of cours the love of money is the root of all evil. Praise the Lord though we have an advocate with the Father Jesus Christ who died for our sins and has washed all who believe clean and pure by the blood he shed on the cross at calvery. Jesus was a perfect sacrifice for my sins and yours, have you let him wash away your sins, has the sin debt been paid for you, if not you can get saved right now, right where you are, just say this simple prayer believing in Jesus, Dear Jesus, I know and confess that I am sinner in need of salvation. I believe you died on a cross at calvery and arose from the grave to wash away my sins, I ask you right now to come into my heart and save me, I pray this Prayer believing in the name of Jesus Amen. If you prayed this prayer with a sincere heart you are now a child of God, rejoice that your name is written in the Lambs book of Life. If you have any questions just send me an email, God Bless YOU!!

it's one thing to sit in church and listen for an hour or so, to agree, to believe, but quite another to put it into daily practice. Why, the world is why, it's a big grab, if it's not one thing it's another. Security, retirement, keeping up with the neighbors, kids/family always need/want something, the need for more, bigger, better and so little time to do or get it all or be left behind. Then there's greed, lust, jelousy, power. It seems that promises of the next life are harder to remember or reach for, when the pressures of this one are so much closer at hand. Tis the choice we make, but I tell you what I notice, as people get into their senior years they tend to return to church, i guess we hope to make up for it then.

Very good! I ask: Why Christians always give the excuse that they are not perfect? You are right, my friend. I have the same opinion. If you can't follow what Jesus teaches, there's no reason to go to church and study every verse of the Bible. I like this verse and that's what I always tell a Christian:

James 1:22

"Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says."

We only achieve spiritual progress by changing our morals! Otherwise, it is all in vain. We are not perfect, therefore we are not going to put effort to be perfect? Nonsense to me!

Peace!

And you know all Christians don't do what Jesus asks them to do because _____________.

Because many Christians don't study for themselves and learn what they should do. They just sit and listen during church services. God's word can not be learned in a few hours a week its a full time lifestyle commitment.
