Ask her if she ever told someone how nice a new outfit looked when it was awful. Also to say you have never lied is in itself a lie.

I think the verse you're thinking of is:

< 1 John 1:10 >>

If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar and His word is not in us.

That doesn't specifically address *our* lying, but yes, your mom has lied; if nothing else she has lied to herself about not lying!

I mean no offense against your mom but lies are lies no matter the occur; if we believe something untrue (lie to ourselves), speak something not true, fudge a little to avoid hurting someone's feelings.

I mean surely at some point your mom has had a dear friend with whom she went shopping and the question came up, "Do these jeans make my butt look big?" What did your mom answer? So, see? You're right.

It's not in the bible. But ask her this. Has she ever said someone looks nice, when she doesn't approve of what their wearing? This is also a lie. Ask her if she has ever bent the thruth, this is also a lie. I find it hard to believe someone hasn't lied in their life. But if she hasn't good on her.

I think everyone has lied at least once. It's part of human nature. Children start lying as soon as they can talk, especially if they have younger siblings to pick on. So everyone has lied at least once.

Rev 21:27 And there shall in no wise enter into [heaven] any thing that defileth, neither [whatsoever] worketh abomination, or [maketh] a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb's book of life.

Rev 22:15 For without [are] dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.
