The bible says they were first called Christians at Antioch. It wasn't them calling theirself that. The people at Antioch saw something different in these people, and that something different was they walked with Christ. They followed his ways and teachings. Thats why they was called that. To me I am saved, if someone calls me a Christian then so be it. I rarely ever give myself this title. There is many people out there that carry this title but have never been saved.

It's not just a title for most. It's a way of believing. None of us are perfect like Christ, but at least we try to emulate him and his teachings. There are many in the varying sects of Christianity who do not practice what Christ teaches. This is the real question you are asking...is it not?
I think it's a befitting title, given the name Christ. As in the worship of Him in a religion call Christianity.

Of course, it doesn't matter what others call you if you are a Christian. Being a Christian is more than believing in Christ, but believing that Christ is the Son of God and that he died for your sins is required. The other part is accepting him as your personal savior.
The real problem is how does a real Christian act? The bible says to "Search the scriptures, for in them, you THINK you have eternal life." (emphasis mine)

Actually, people who call themselves Christian are probably dead serious and believe strongly that they are believers in Christ. I think that we should let them.
But trusting God through Jesus Christ is what's important. It really doesn't matter if you adopt the label. Sometimes I call myself Protestant, and I've taken a liking to the name 'Reformed'. But when it comes to teaching people, you sometimes have to adopt the terms they identify with. Or things might become a bit confusing for them; too confusing. So if for no other reasons, I call myself a Christian because that's what people identify with. It's for them, not me.

A Christian is someone who has accepted Jesus Christ as their personal savior. If you believe that Jesus Christ was the Son of God, died on the cross, and rose on the third day; then you are a Christian.

Actually, that's basically the definition of being a christian is that the person believes in Christ. That's kind of what the word means- "Christ-ian".

A true Christian is a person who has put his or her faith and trust in the person of Jesus Christ and fact that He died on the cross as payment for sins and rose again on the third day to obtain victory over death and to give eternal life to all who believe in Him. John 1:12 tells us: “But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name.” A true Christian is indeed a child of God, a part of God’s true family, and one who has been given new life in Christ. The mark of a true Christian is love for others and obedience to God’s Word (1 John 2:4; 1 John 2:10).

It's not that it's important. It just semantics.
The first 6 letters of the word "Christian" is "Christ." Why would you call a Christian a "Martian" or a "Buddhist" or a "rutabaga" if the person they follow is the "Christ"?
