it seems like i'm being racially profiled by the kingdom hall in my area. either that or they are just not doing well as a congregation. i have put in (online) for a study a few times in the past couple months and done everything short of going to the hall and looking for someone myself. satan must really be trying to thwart this. i would think a congregation would jump all over this bible study since my husband and i are both interested. stupid witness comments are unwelcome and will be deleted so don't even bother.

Do you know why we try to convert you and many others to our beliefs? Because it seems like you don't and you are just annoyed with us because you say that we are shoving our religion down your throats which for some people I won't deny that has happened, but that isn’t what we want to do. The reason that we do it is for you guys to be saved. We wouldn’t bother if we didn’t care. We don’t do it out of anger or malice thinking that you guys are ignorant or anything in fact the main reason that we do it is because we care about you and it may seem strange to hear but that is the love that God puts in our hearts. I don’t see why there is so much hatred for us. I can understand that many Christians through out history have given nothing but a bad name to Christianity and perhaps you think that we are all like that but we are not. We only preach love and just want you to be saved. I would appreciate it if no one insults me for this statement please. Thank you.

Why do you think the genealogy of Jesus is different in Matthew than it is in Luke?

In ancient times, girls were married off around 12 years of age (or even less, depending on the time and culture). This was the common practice among Pagan cultures, but the Jews supposedly had a hot-line to God and got all their rules from Him, so how come He didn't tell them marrying little girls is immoral? He gave them lots of OTHER rules (i.e. no Gay sex, etc.), yet He couldn't be bothered to tell them not to engage in child marriage? And YES, the Jewish people's OWN RECORDS show that they did this (ever heard of the Talmud?) My point here isn't to lambast the Jews (like I said, EVERYBODY was doing it back then), but to note that if they really WERE in contact with God, He SURELY would have forbad the practice...

Let's see now. God is omnipotent, omniscient, and intelligent enough to have created **everything**. In the entire universe!

In light of that level of power, how idiotic is it to think that ANY "faith" needs "defending?" No matter what any person thinks or believes, God will have things any way that He *wants* to have them. There is NO way that any person or group on this dust mote of a planet can harm God in the least!

Either He paid the debt, or He didn't. If He PAID the debt, our slate should be wiped clean - whether we BELIEVE He did it or not should be immaterial. Let me explain... Suppose you owed the bank $100,000 dollars and I went down and paid your debt off. Once I did that, the bank is happy, and no longer after you. Now suppose that you didn't really believe that I actually paid the money you owed - would the bank still be after you? Of COURSE NOT! - at least, not if it's a HONEST bank!!! What would matter to the bank is that it GOT ITS MONEY, NOT whether YOU personally believed this had occured! If we can only be saved by agnoledging that He died for our sins, this can only mean that He has NOT paid the "bank" - God - yet, and is holdlng our redeption hostage until we meet His demands!

I'm just wondering why so many people find this funny when this man is clearly disabled. Many commented that he is drunk or stoned, but if that were the case I doubt the pastor of the church would have allowed him to lead the congregation in singing the song.

Since most do not have the mental capability to voluntarily believe in Jesus as a lord and saviour.

Also, since babies cannot do the same, do they go to hell? Considering the concept of original sin and there is no age of accountability specified in christianity.

i was wondering if some buddhists out there could share with me what your day to day activities are relating to buddhism.what would i have to do to practice buddhism everyday and become a buddhist.ive read books, practice meditation and have a good grasp on some concepts but there are no places for me to go nearby.i would like to go to a temple or just a meeting place for buddhist but none r close to me.i basically want to know how to become a buddhist myself and how i should incorporate the ideas into my daily life through some of your examples.so how would a guy wanting to become involved in this religion actually become an involved buddhist that is true to the teachings and be sure that im doing the right things in practice or otherwise to become enlightened?i gotta tell ya,i look at this life and everything people tell me to work for and what is important just doesnt do it for me.only enlightenment seems to be the way to happiness to me.
