yes I have read about it. I know its evil. I don't judge! I love the person. but hate the evil sins they are doing! thats why I pray for the lost! Wicca is a new age of witchcraft. some don't believe in satan or hell. some don't believe in heaven and God! But most all of them believe in a god or goddess thats a false god. Jesus is the only true living God! there is no goddess of the earth and nature. there is no god of the sun, moon or stars. its all lies from the pit of hell. satan! satan is trying so hard to get all the souls he can in hell. by lieing and fooling people! makeing evil stuff and sins look good and makeing some think its all good and ok when its not. for no evil or sins will enter heaven! pagan also believe not hurting any living thing. but which they don't understand good works will not get u in to heaven alone. you also have to accept Jesus Christ as your Lord! Worshiping mother nature or the sun, moon or stars. will get you only to hell.

I asked a question about a question posed to me by my daughter

some people more or less told me that I am not a good mum ... some told me to tell the truth to her ( but this truth was split between saying when we are dead we are dead ... or that we go to heaven if we are saved )
so what truth is it ?

A- is it bad that my kid is asking questions like this one
B - does her question suggest ( as dear Fitz told me ) that I am raising a disfunctional family
C - should I tell her ( as Mark suggests ) that mummy is going to hell and dragging her with me
D- wouldnt it be worse if I just told her my own beliefs and didnt give her options to decide for herself ... even at the age of 6

I thought it was a very good question she asked and I only wanted opinions

If you believe he was wrong, please provide the scriptural basis for your opinion, since Khomeini provided plenty of scriptural justification in the fatwa.

I read a survey in some paper which stated that 88% of the people of Iceland know Evolution is true, the USA only scored 39%...Even my own country, Holland, scored a scary low 65%.

The same survey also stated that in the USA more than 60% is completely sure that Creationism is the truth, even my country scored 20% on that, which shocked me.

I think I wanna raise my future children in Iceland, they obviously have better schools than the rest of the world.

The Hernandes couple are the wealthy owners of a network of radio and television stations and more than 1,100 churches. Prosectors say they also have significant real estate holdings, including a luxury apartment in Miami.

Wow...... I think Jesus will be proud of how much do they recollect with tithing... by the way why I never see that Jesus requested for tithing?

Someone with a gun broke into your house and said he was going to kill everyone there. Suppose further that while he was raping your teenage daughter, he laid down the gun and you had the chance to grab it? What would you do? Would you shoot him if you had to to survive?

God will judge us for our wickedness.
But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.”
Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God.
But now the righteousness of God apart from the law is revealed, being witnessed by the Law and the Prophets, even the righteousness of God, through faith in Jesus Christ, to all and on all who believe. For there is no difference; for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus,

of gifts from the same spirit and there are varieties of service also from the same spirit. and there are varieties of working all from the same Lord. To each is given a manifestation of the spirit to one is given utterance of knowledge and to another the utterence of wisdom to another faith to another the gifts of healing to another the working of miracles to another prophecy and to another the ability to distinguish between the spirits to another various kinds of tongues All these gifts are very important
and all are from the same spirit. We can't choose the gift we want we take what we are given. I have heard mediums claim to posses all the gifts and I personally don't believe them.
You can develope mediumship sitting in a development circle, but it would take years to develop all the gifts if that was possible.

So we all know that Neanderthals came before homo sapiens. And if adam and eve were created way before the neanderthals, they would be even less developed than them. which means that eve wouldn't be able to understand the snake when it told her to eat the apple because Neanderthals didn't use their voices often and adam and eve would be even less developed than them. and she wouldn't be able to lift up high to get the apple because neanderthals couldn't lift their arms in a full rotation.

Jesus forbade: "Call no man your father on earth, for you have one Father, who is in heaven" (Matt. 23:9).

Example
Paul’s statement, "I do not write this to make you ashamed, but to admonish you as my beloved children. For though you have countless guides in Christ, you do not have many fathers. For I became your father in Christ Jesus through the gospel" (1 Cor. 4:14–15).

I asked this question without "why won't you share them", and got only one (astute) answer, which was a doubt I'd get answers.
I thought that doubt was celebrated, both in Christian, esp. protestant theology-Thomas etc, and in scientific scrutiny.
Maybe it is considered a weakness by R&S regulars?

From what I gather you believe in Jesus but you don't believe in the trinity saying that there are 3 in 1.
You believe the bible:
John 14:7-11
Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.
7If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him.
8Philip saith unto him, Lord, show us the Father, and it sufficeth us.
9Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Show us the Father?
10Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.
11Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works' sake.

Is Jesus Blaspheming or is it possible there is a trinity and he is tellingthetruth

Okay, I just read yet ANOTHER question about evolution.
I also read a VERY interesting article today and started to think, 'you know, who cares?'. I mean, it isn't really evolution we should be worried about, is it? It's whether we were created via Intelligent Design.

So....if Christians could concede the idea of evolution (PLEASE read this: http://www.christianitytoday.com/ct/2007/march/37.74.html ) then how would our discussions change?

Evolutionists, are you atheists as well? Would Intelligent Design be just as serious an issue for you as 'instant creation without evolution'?

Atheists, I'm curious as to your reaction to the article in regard to the quotes from Francis Collins and Freeman Dyson.

Have at it.

Hitler may in public have claimed to be doing the will of God, but records of his private conversations show otherwise. Many of these were recorded by his secretary and published in a book called "Hitler's Table Talk" (Look, A SOURCE!)

Here are some quotes Hitler made:

"Christianity is a rebellion against natural law, a protest against nature. Taken to its logical extreme, Christianity would mean the systematic cultivation of the human failure."

"Christianity has reached the peak of absurdity.... And that's why someday its structure will collapse.... "

"Christianity is the liar"

"The reason why the ancient world was so pure, light and serene was that it knew nothing of the two great scourges: the pox and Christianity."

"We'll see to it that the Churches cannot spread abroad teachings in conflict with the interests of the State."

"Christianity is an invention of sick brains: one could imagine nothing more senseless"

"There is something very unhealthy about Christianity."

Jesus said his followers were to love even their enemies. How do Christians justify going to war?

2007-08-18 09:54:27 · 34 answers · asked by Jade Ublu 3

It appears that Jesus had most of his followers there, and I suspect that he summarized all the things they needed to know. So why did he forget to mention the plan of salvation? (Sacrifice for Sin)

But instead of that, he said if you forgive others, God will forgive you. And if you don't fogive others, God will not forgive you.

So was this Sermon on the Mount a missed opportunity? Source of the question: http://gospelenigma.com

or meditating? Is your life enhanced in anyway when you do?

I find that praying does help when I am in need. I am not religious, just looking to find happiness and I wonder if others have quit doing it because it didn't work for them or if it really is a powerful tool that can change our lives.

I have recently met up with an old school friend, she has now become a born again christian, I am not a religous person at all, but I respest her beliefs. The last time we met up for a coffee she told me I would go to hell for not being a 'born again christian'...I wasnt too bothered, but she then said my two year old would also go to hell, This has really offened me and I am really angry that she could say that...I dont really want to see her ever again. Should I tell her that she has upset me..what is a born again christian?
