So we all know that Neanderthals came before homo sapiens. And if adam and eve were created way before the neanderthals, they would be even less developed than them. which means that eve wouldn't be able to understand the snake when it told her to eat the apple because Neanderthals didn't use their voices often and adam and eve would be even less developed than them. and she wouldn't be able to lift up high to get the apple because neanderthals couldn't lift their arms in a full rotation.

1) "So we all know that Neanderthals came before homo sapiens." - careful. Some will likely disagree with you on this. Many scientists claim that humans and neandertals lived in the same regions at the same times.

2) "And if adam and eve were created way before the neanderthals, they would be even less developed than them. which means that eve wouldn't be able to understand the snake when it told her to eat the apple because Neanderthals didn't use their voices often and adam and eve would be even less developed than them." - this is pure fiction. We cannot know how talkative neandertals were, and this statement seems based upon old, disproven theories. Look here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neandertal#Language for more modern theories about neandertal language. (According to the anatomy section, I could be a neandertal). Notice also the larger brain size of neandertals when compared to humans.

I couldn't find anything about the "reaching" thing, but the ability to climb a tree does not depend solely upon the ability to reach straight up.

Let's look at this logically - you don't make very good points.

How do we really know Neanderthals did not talk or rotate their arms? Or even write, for that matter? After all the story about Adam and Eve has been around for so long, that it could only have come from a very close source!!!

Neanderthals were "homoerectus" which went extinct. Both they and "homosapiens" began in Africa with the homoerectus moving on to the Europe area-around Germany. Homoerectus went extinct because they didn't utilize the groups or localized societies to help them survive like the homosapiens who stayed in Africa did. I believe Adam and Eve were after all this happened. There were other near human sub-species too. I just cannot remember them. Adam and Eve could have been literal people or just symbolic or representative of what ails mankind, as in a metaphor or allegory.

Adam and Eve, even in the Bible were not the 'first' man & woman. Adam is the first man in his story (now known as history). Eve is the first woman to allow herself to be subjagated. The Bible clearly tells of Adam haveing a first wife (she's in the First Wives Club) who wanted to be treated as an equal. Adam did not like that, and he divorces her and takes Eve to wife. Story being told by the men, ex-wife is vilified (as usual). Typical sour grapes stuff, even back then. That's just another reason that women always say that men never grow up. It's also how Adam and Eves children are able to go the the village to find spouses for themselves. Most of the old testament stories can be traced to even older religions, now called mythology.

You're trying to layer two opposing religious systems on top of each other. One could just as easily say there is no such thing as neanderthals because Eve couldn't lift her arm in full rotation. That would be shot down as nonsense, just as this question must.

Neanderthals probably lived concurrently with homo sapiens.

But that aside, the Adam and Eve story is obvious mythology.

Okay, point taken.

I tend to think of Neanderthals as "rough drafts". So, maybe God created a few prototypes, decided they weren't working well, and scrapped 'em. Then he stuck with Adam and Eve (homo sapiens)

If we also take into account my theory that a day for God could be thousands of our years, it all makes sense!

But, then again.... this is all based on my personal theories. So we should probably just scrap it all and go get some Chinese food.

We as Christians know God made us (& yes Adam&Eve) in his image, or likeness. This "science" of saying about neanderthals coming from humans is not true, however just like "cousins" in the animal kingdom they could be something simular to us, but in no way the same gene pool.

I got an epiphany today... a non christians (or non religious person) is someone who evolved beyond seeing the world in fiction and fairy tale... and to me that made the christians the new neanderthals...

Does not this qualify as a straw man argument? Even if not, you are mixing "created" with "evolved", sort of like apples and oranges. I am asking questions because I am not as educated as some of you guys, but your argument does not ring true to me.
