That Bishop is an unbiblical apostate.
Since the Qur'an teaches that Allah has no son,
and Catholics and Christians believe that Jesus is the Son of God, THEN, it follows that Allah is not the God of the Bible.

1st answer is correct, Allah is merely the Arabic form of God (just as Gott is the German form, and Deus the Latin). God does not require everyone to speak English.
BTW, Jesus' *actual* name is Yeshua (transliterated), and is identical to the name Joshua (which is also Yeshua). The name went from Hebrew/Aramaic to Greek to Latin to English. Bible names, in general do not have a "J" sound (because that sound is not present in Hebrew). The J is entirely an anglicization - so why are you calling Yeshua by a different name? Not to mention Elijah, Jonah, Josiah, John, James, etc. etc.

Allah is not the God of the Bible, But the fact that a Catholic Bishop would make that suggestion does not surprise me. After all Catholics believe that their salvation is secured by them praying to Mary, (vessel used by God to bring Jesus into the world) , confessing their sins to a man (priest) and paying(money to a priest) for their way out of purgatory(which doesn't even exist) none of which is true. Their is only one way to Salvation and that is through Christ Jesus, not Mary, We are only to brings our sins to Christ Jesus, not another man, that would be putting man before Christ. And when you die, you go to Heaven or Hell, their is no inbetween holding place. And anyone bowing or kneeling down before another man is doing nothing more then sending their own soul to Hell. We are to bow or kneel to our Heavenly Father only, not a human man. The Catholic Religion is the richest Religion out their, and just remember RELIGION is man made Laws and Rules, not of the Bible.

That's a ridiculous suggestion. God and Allah are not the same. God's purposes in Heaven and earth will be achieved by His almighty hand; NEVER by human totalitarianism, fascism, and propaganda. That's how I know that Islam, which uses these methods exclusively, doesn't serve the true God.

Someone posted a similar question earlier, and I'll repeat what I said then. Allah is strictly a Muslim name for God, and while the Bishop is entitled to his opinion, I doubt that the rest of the Church is going to see things his way.
Jesus told us to call God, "our Father in Heaven," and that's what I'm sticking with.

I heard that too . (shakes head) . I'm stunned .
Could this be just a renegade ? - Maybe
Will we see the Vatican endorse this ? - Oh man , I hope not , cause that would likely mean that we are in the endtimes and would be the foundation for the one world religion .

I have heard of this and felt creepy about someone claiming to be a follower of Christ to compromise this way and expect others to follow the example of double mindness

It doesn't matter what name you call God/Allah. I thought God was the English word for the Arabic Allah. I suppose use the language of the country.
