Ok, so I've recently come to the conclusion that the Catholic Church is the true church(don't answer yet).

Well, I was on a Catholic forum and I asked, out of pure ignorance, if a certain LDS belief was also a Catholic Faith because I didn't know.

I got a reply from a lady who gave me a link, to a Catholic website, that showed pure hate for the LDS faith...now I'm confused on whether or not I was right about the Church...

I see it as "If the Catholic Church is supposed to model Jesus' teachings and Jesus taught nothing by tolerance for other faiths, then why did they write this?"

So...what should I do? I know I should pray...but what do you think of the situation?

Have you heard of this before? What does this mean to you?

"A Coptic, Christian sect in Egypt, woman came to Omar complaining that the Muslim governor Amru-Ibn Al-`As took her house in order to add the land to an adjacent site being used for the construction of a mosque. Omar inquired into the matter and was told by Amr that the Muslims had increased in number and needed to expand the mosque. Amr explained that he had offered the Coptic woman a great deal of money, but when she refused, Amr left the money in a fund for her to take it anytime she wanted. Though many modern laws permit such a procedure, Omar did not accept it according to Islamic principles. He ordered the Muslims to stop the expansion of the mosque and rebuild the Christian woman's house, as it had been before."

Why in Genesis was the tree of knowledge of good and evil forbidden? It bore fruit and wouldn't that posess the same qualities? Knowledge of good and evil? So the original intention was that man is supposed to follow and not have knowledge?

Why can't this religion think for themselves? Why do they need a book (quran) to tell them every move to make in life? Is Islam for the weak mind? How are they so brainwashed into believing the ridicilous lies of the Quran?

Quotes from QURAN:

# "Make war on them until idolatry is no more and Allah's religion reigns supreme." (Koran 8:37)
# The Koran instructs not to make friendship with Jews and Christians (Koran 5:51) but to war against them: "When the Sacred Months are over, kill those who ascribe partners to God wheresoever ye find them; seize them, encompass them, and ambush them; then if they repent and observe prayer and pay the alms, let them go their way (Koran 4:5). "Fight against those who believe not in God nor in the Last Day, who... refuse allegiance to the True Faith from among those who have received the Book, until they humbly pay tribute out of hand." (Koran 9:29) Note: These verses distinguish between warfare against pagans, and against Jews and Christian

A person hurt you, no matter who it was... Fine. you decided that because you want to you will forgive them.

Now, does that require for you to be friendly again? Do you have to pretend that it never happened?

Or can you forgive them but be cautious and stay away? How about if you don't want to be friendly or have a relationship anymore? Does that mean that you are not really forgiving?

I know that 2-3 is not much to work with. I know it will fall on deaf ears and the current Mormons won't understand. That's okay.

I ask this because Current Mormons think that ex-mormons are a these big bad bullies that hate them (or that is what they are taught to believe)

If the Jews propagate the true message of Monotheism then I can personally say that I would support them in everyway possible.

Muslims should support anyone who teaches mankind to never worship the creation but ONLY worship the creator.

The Seven Noahide Laws are very Monotheistic.

I know I'm probably "throwing the fat into the fire", but I'd like to know what you think of my responses, and the responses of other LDS, to your concerns about Mormonism.

If you don't feel like writing a short essay, here is some multiple choice:

a) boring, same old thing I've heard a million times
b) quirky, humanistic, but still slavishly LDS
c) your words sometimes make me thoughtful
d) why aren't you already translated?

Just kidding. How does your mind tick over when active LDS give you responses? Do you ever find their responses inspire you with any reason/feeling to accept The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints as a sincere, valid religious choice?

- I would like a rosary necklace that is made of long-lasting material, but is affordable. Would you suggest silver or would crystal rosaries last as well?
- Where is the best place to buy rosaries? I know a couple of church-affiliated shops, but they only sell very simple ones. And the jewelry shops I can't afford to buy in...
Any advice or tips on purchasing rosaries?

Your thoughts on when world war 3 will happen? Who do you think will start it? How many people think there wont be another world war? What will it be over? Who will be fighting in it? I know these are random questions but I have just finished reading about ww1 and ww2 and thought it might be interesting to ask if people think there is another ww3 in our near future? I know I will get people telling me I should post this some where else other than the R&S section so I will just appologize now and say get over it.
