Does it make you feel pretty happy when people want to be like you? What are your thoughts on this? Or do you want to be one of a kind, somebody who makes a positive difference in the world?

Some people complain about "so-and-so" kind of people trying to push their life style on them. So, who has ever come knocking on your door or stopping you in a mall parking lot or even handed out pamplets at Disneyland to you that want you to join their group?

Personally, I have been hit on by Mormons, Protestants and Baptists and a few Hari Krishna at the airport. I have never been solicited by any Jews, Hindus, Muslums, or Homosexuals.

How about you ?

I am an admitted bigot when it comes to Christians. I want to accept everyone, but I feel naturally distrustful and loathing around Christians because of past experiences. I've been attacked and persecuted by Christians on many occasions. But I want to preach tolerance and live in a world where Christians and Pagans and people of all faiths and philosophies can work together. How can I begin to overcome this bigotry??

Why do you hate so much? Is love really gone from you heart? Why are you an empty shell? This is to those that hate people showing anything good about what they themselves hate. They forget that the world will not change for them, as it will never change for you or me. These people who are so full of hatred and anger forget that this life is just a test. These people have nobody to turn to, nobody to show them love or affection in their lives. People who have so much hatred in their souls are no longer human in the humane context. They've given up their humanity for what they perceive to be power, but it's only something that is eating them alive. What do you think about this?

And in this same surah, Allah Almighty reminds us again of people who strive to do good and struggle in the path of Allah:

have petty human traits that we consider flaws in ourselves, like jealousy and anger? Considering he is supposed to be perfect?

I'm not saying there is no God, or that I know the answers but this has always puzzled me as a bit of a contradiction.

For instance, many Christians say that they were Christians since they were born (because their family is Christian), since the time they were baptized as babies, or since the time they started to get involved with church. However, I found that Scripture is against this type of "becoming a Christian." Jesus told Nicodemus that one must be born again to see the Kingdom of God (John 3:3). Paul also tells us that one must believe in Jesus Christ in order to be justified before God (Rom 3:28; Gal 2:16; Eph 2:8). I don't know how it is possible that someone can just "slide" into being a Christian. Scripture clearly states that one must a consience choice to trust Jesus Christ as one's Lord and Saviour.

I am serious about this- so please don't answer if you have not come to know Christ, or at least are open to it. I know there are many people here that say they have left Christianity- so today I ask who has become a Christian lately and why? Even if it was not through Yahoo

To those who say that muslims have never contributed anything to the world, what do you think about the fact that when you need a surgery, a muslim invented the tools and anesthesia you are being given?

"Many modern surgical instruments are of exactly the same design as those devised in the 10th century by a Muslim surgeon called al-Zahrawi. His scalpels, bone saws, forceps, fine scissors for eye surgery and many of the 200 instruments he devised are recognisable to a modern surgeon. It was he who discovered that catgut used for internal stitches dissolves away naturally (a discovery he made when his monkey ate his lute strings) and that it can be also used to make medicine capsules. In the 13th century, another Muslim medic named Ibn Nafis described the circulation of the blood, 300 years before William Harvey discovered it. Muslims doctors also invented anaesthetics of opium and alcohol mixes and developed hollow needles to suck cataracts from eyes in a technique still used today.

The oath Israeli soldiers take, "Masada shall not fall again," [ http://www.jewishvirtuallibrary.org/jsource/Judaism/masada.html ] is based on a mass suicide-assisted suicide incident involving 960 men, women and children in 74 ce, when Roman troops were completing the capture of the fortress.

http://atheism.about.com/od/bibleplacescities/p/Masada.htm

Similarly, Rev. Jim Jones assisted in the suicide of all his followers when the walls began closing in on the Jonestown settlement.

The striking contrast between Israeli veneration for Masada and the shudder most modern people experience concerning Jonestown suggests something is fundamentally different about the two self-slaughterings.

This might involve a 'free pass' being given because Masada involved Biblical zealots, whereas Jones arrived too late to qualify.

Or maybe, some zealots who kill their kids are okay, and others just aren't.

Are some zealots more equal than others?

If a baby born in a Non-Covenant family (Non Christian) is killed or dies before they can have the chance of believing in God or ever hears the Gospel, do you think that baby will go to Heaven?
Imagine if he/she lived in an isolated part of the world, and they had never heard the Word before. What would happen?

why is this? as we know the majority of America is Christian. Whenever i see a question about beliefs, such as evolution and creation, creationists get multiple thumbs down while atheists don't, is this because atheists have no lives, and nothing better to do on a saturday night then to put others down? lame people, go and hide before darwin comes back and smites you, by making you all monkeys

Its time out for foolishness and percrastination, we have sat down way too long, its time for us to step up to the plate with a "War Cry". We are warriors of the Most High God Jesus Christ and he is looking for people who will stand firm and established, not being moved by every wind of doctrine. The time is now and we must fight the Good fight of Faith (1 Tim 6:12).

Get ready to go on the battle field of the Lord,

Eph 6:10 ¶ Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Eph 6:11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

Eph 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high [places].

Eph 6:13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
