I am serious about this- so please don't answer if you have not come to know Christ, or at least are open to it. I know there are many people here that say they have left Christianity- so today I ask who has become a Christian lately and why? Even if it was not through Yahoo

Praise God for the testimonies so far- and for those who choose to mock, my belief is strong enough to take it- and you really are not mocking me anyway.

atheists ask us not to answer with scripture etc- and when I feel like answering I answer- so please feel free the only reason I asked this question was because atheists have asked it in reverse sometimes. Sorry if anyone is offended.

I am a Christian and I would say that none of the answers here said they became a Christian because of anyone's testamony on here. The consensus is that we have turned many off to Christianity if anything. My opinion on that is when we tell people that they must be saved most feel resentful due to the fact that we come off looking arrogant, arrogant to think we are right and they are wrong. From there the tension builds on both sides. What many of you don't know is that when this site first opened the Atheist abuse on here was inconceivable. Constant pornagraphic avatars mentioning doing perverse things with us or Jesus to outright violent questions about harming us. And it wasn't just a few. Non-believers set up serial killers and mass murderers such as Hitler, Jim Jones and petophile priests as shining examples of Christians. This adds to the tension. Yes there is much hate on here from ALL sides. And there is much love and exceptance here from ALL sides, too. We all need to be more understanding of the others views without stooping to smear tactics.

I became Atrue Christain A couple of months ago, when I felt a true connection with God. I became A christain because I was a screwed up, lost, teenager, and it started out that I just needed to believe in something, turns out, i just liked the people that went to the church, but up till about 2 months ago, i felt so close with God. And I've been reading in the Bible, and i just got back from Church camp yesturday, and let me tell you, i have this grasp on mine and Christ's relationship, and i refuse to let it go, i had an eye-opening experience this past week. So that's how I became a Christian, i guess hearing another person testimont kind of inspired me to go to church, but beyond that, it was just God an Me.

Born into a Catholic-like faith within the Christian division itself, BUT came to the truth of Christ - my mom was enlightened by the Word of God. Let me tell, no pastors or evangelists or preachers or by any persons request that we came to the Truth. This happened in my childhood itself.
Now, We are a family of 4, and are Reborn in Christ. I am now dead to sin - in fact buried the sinful nature when i Recvd Bptism after accepting Christ as my Lord - and now live to Christ to attain that crown which He has promised to me in that Glory Land. I am not a religion fanatic, But am a Vessel chosen by the Redemption Blood of Christ from that hands of the evil - yea, chosen to pull out more from death to Life in Christ and HolySpirit and that Eternal Life in Heaven.
I am a person in this mortal body, my err at times, BUT repent and ask for cleansing by the Blood of the Lamb. YES, and so I am holy in Christ by Faith not by works, coz its Faith that saves...Yea, and I want to do more for Christ., yes be mad fo rHim.
Those that mock are foolishly doing so coz the god of this world has blinded their eyes of understanding lest they come to the Truth..pray for such. True this site is not a Christaian discussion forum, but i pray for one,...
AND we in Christ will meet Jesus when the Trumpet blows and waiting for that glorios day. God Bless you. AMEN

Can I answer this even though I am not a new christian? I became a follower of Jesus Christ because my life was not going well for me. I felt I needed something better. I have never regretted my decision to follow Jesus.

Actually I am mostly appalled at the behavior I see here. If nothing else it has made me even more resistant to Christianity.
