For instance, many Christians say that they were Christians since they were born (because their family is Christian), since the time they were baptized as babies, or since the time they started to get involved with church. However, I found that Scripture is against this type of "becoming a Christian." Jesus told Nicodemus that one must be born again to see the Kingdom of God (John 3:3). Paul also tells us that one must believe in Jesus Christ in order to be justified before God (Rom 3:28; Gal 2:16; Eph 2:8). I don't know how it is possible that someone can just "slide" into being a Christian. Scripture clearly states that one must a consience choice to trust Jesus Christ as one's Lord and Saviour.

You are absolutely right- I grew up thinking I was a Christian, because I attended such since I was born, and was confirmed in the Lutheran church- and when asked what Jesus means me to - "I can live a forgiven life"- however I was not saved, until I admitted that I was a sinner- Yes there has to be a conscience choice- for Christ

Many people claim they are Christians since they were born into what they were told was a Christian family.

I suppose its possible for a person to be converted as a child and now they don't remember exactly what occurred now that they are an adult.

I still remember the day my son accepted the Lord, but he no longer does, he's in his 20s now and was only 3 then.

Still I was raised in a family that believed that infant baptism made them Christians. And in a church which taught that too.

All you need to do is trust in the Lord God and be baptized in his name. Yes scripture does state that it is hard to gain entrance to the kingdom of Heaven but it is the state of life in which you live that shows in the eyes of God. To become a Christian you must listen for God and believe. If you dont think its possible then you dont believe and that is why it is not possible.

You can't be a Christian because they were born in a Christian family. You still have to accept Christ as your Lord and Savior for yourself and because you believe. There is no sliding in.

But a conversion story everyone has a story so what do you mean? And I mean everyone regardless if they were born into a Christian family or not.
