Some people complain about "so-and-so" kind of people trying to push their life style on them. So, who has ever come knocking on your door or stopping you in a mall parking lot or even handed out pamplets at Disneyland to you that want you to join their group?

Personally, I have been hit on by Mormons, Protestants and Baptists and a few Hari Krishna at the airport. I have never been solicited by any Jews, Hindus, Muslums, or Homosexuals.

How about you ?

I've had the occasional Mormon and JW knock on my door, but they have always been polite when I have said "no thank you." I wouldn't really label it as a conversation attempt... they inquired whether I was interested in hearing about it, but never got as far as actually trying to convert me.

I've had several Christians try and convert me, mostly online. And I've had a number of Wiccans and Pagans insist I'm not Wiccan/Pagan enough and try to show me the error of my ways. Usually they want me to do thinks like hate Christians, occasionally hate men, and keep my mouth shut when a Wiccan or Pagan does something really stupid. I've also had a few people over the years try to convince me of the evils of being an omnivore in the hopes I'd turn vegetarian. Oh, and a few potheads have tried convincing me anyone who doesn't smoke pot (or worse) is just uptight and anal.

JW's, Mormons, Hare Krishnas, Scientologists, Buddhists, Psychics, people pushing a new-age mumbo-jumbo "Omega" seminar, another obnoxious person pushing a pseudo-psychology cult called "Life Springs", a Baptist co-worker, two born again co-workers, various stealth evangelists in high school, a fanatical vegetarian who lectured me as I ate a hamburger, but the absolute, pushiest, and the absolutely MOST OBNOXIOUS and persistent shoving down the throat "conversion" attempts have come from Mary Kay consultants.

Mostly Jehovah's Witness people and Pentecostals. I tell them that I already belong to he Church of What's Happening and most of the time they leave scratching their heads.

I have been spoken to by Mormon, Jehovah Witnesses, and a few other cults, but I go to my bible and go head to head with them but my one purpose is to love them as Christ does so they know the love of God which is in Christ Jesus.

Just Christians... But they're pretty much the only ones who live in my area. Still, it's not any less irritating.
