My thoughts on this.
I think someone who gets their gossip from a silly animated irreverent comedy show and puts it accross as factual has a real intelligence problem.
Also I think you have no clue what Mel Gibson believes.
And for those who are guessing on the subject, Mel IS a Catholic.
Finally I think this question demonstrates the absolute waste of a human mind, and the majority of the answers demonstrate a tremendous amount of venom against Christians.

Anytime someone relies on an animated TV show whose main objective is to take the facts and twist them into something totally different we should be concerned.

I for one am a Christian who accepts the idea of gravity in relation to our physical universe. Whether or not Mel Gibson believes in gravity I don't know however, just because one Christian believes something to be true doesn't mean all Christians do.

you dont believe in gravity, you experience gravity!!

hey guys, do you believe in solar heat?

for Gods sake!!

thanks for the article duckphup it has some funny facts:

"Things fall not because they are acted upon by some gravitational force, but because a higher intelligence, 'God' if you will, is pushing them down,"

there are many phenomena that cannot be explained by secular gravity alone, including such mysteries as how angels fly, how Jesus ascended into Heaven, and how Satan fell when cast out of Paradise

they are not asking that the theory of gravity be banned from schools, but only that students be offered both sides of the issue "so they can make an informed decision".

well, it is good to know I have a choice...

"Let's take a look at the evidence," said ECFR senior fellow Gregory Lunsden."In Matthew 15:14, Jesus says, 'And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch.' He says nothing about some gravity making them fall—just that they will fall.

Then, in Job 5:7, we read, 'But mankind is born to trouble, as surely as sparks fly upwards.' If gravity is pulling everything down, why do the sparks fly upwards with great surety? This clearly indicates that a conscious intelligence governs all falling."

right!! thats why Saddam Hussein defensive missiles didnt work, God pushed them all down

Well, it is just a theory, and, it's not in the bible, and mel gibson lives in a fantasy world. The theory of evolution is just as "proven" as the theory of gravity, nevertheless, some christians are blind to reality. If it ain't in the bible; it don't exist. Stupidity surrounds us. Religion is the source.

"a very reliable family guy episode" =/ Is this a joke? Well, whatever you want to call it, gravity is what keeps us down, but a rose by any other name...

Most Christians do not know the theory of gravity and that it is only a theory. They have yet to find a biblical verse that prohibits gravity but some new denomination may interpret the bible differenty and negate gravity.
If they do, do we float?

LMAO! When I saw this question, I thought it was just to get the attention of a lot of people. *tear falls down cheek from laughter* Oh gosh... and I saw that episode. It was hilarious. I loved it when Peter was running from the helicopter and he would occasionally look back and run faster. I thought it was funny.
And yeah, I believe they do. I don't know though, they believe Wiccan's worship Satan when they don't so.... who knows. They lie often enough.

And yes to those Christians who are growling at this answer, I went there. I called you all liars. I don't care either.

Tootles!

And if it was on "The Family Guy" it must be true. I get all of my information from that show.

Mel Gibson is a terrible example of a lot of things, a Christian being just one of them.
