Heres an exerpt from a book I'm currently reading:
"Colin Patterson, senior Paleontologist at the prestigious British Museum of Natural History, which houses the world's largest fossil collection-sixty million specimens- confessed" If I knew of any (Evolutionary transitions), fossil or living, I would certainly have included them [In my book Evolution]." His statement underscores the fact that the fossil record is an embarrassment to evolutionists. No verifiable transitions from one species to another (I.E. Reptiles into birds) have as yet been found.

The author of the book was a former Athiest...

Marriage, love, and career seem to be what most feel that is their life's mission for God. Some are meant to pray, worship, and live their life for God. This does not mean, being a nun, priest, nor reverend but a God fearing person who commits herself/himself to praying, worshiping, and devoting themself daily to Christ/God. It takes a lot of years for most to know they are meant to serve the Lord and not have earthly posessions. What tasks does the Lord want you to do? Be nice.

Is religion without the renewing spirit of humor, like sex without excitement?

What say ye about someone who has memorized the 750,000 words in the King James Bible but lacks the ability to laugh or cry (mourn for someone else's trajedy)?

The Domostroi prescribes that: the father must conduct daily religious services in the home, and the women of the house must attend church services daily. The father is head of the house and rules the home, and the wife must be disciplined most carefully – if she misbehaves, it is her husband's duty to correct her. Children and servants must also be corrected for their transgressions. The mother must keep her husband's clothes clean and mended and prepare her daughter's trousseau, and the father must set aside his daughter's dowry. The document states:

it is not in heaven for you. your home. For you do not know the power of God..

I know God dosn't breed me, but you know when he is done with your marrige, when you Go to heaven. He kinda like sexed you up for glory of the kingdom of God. Breeded you, then when he is done, he says you are like the angels. I have no further use for you. Kinda like the world is a factory for God's worship. I know when I go to heaven I will keep my wife because the Lord says so to me. But what about you guys? Is it God that breeds you or is does the devil have you blind and you breed for him. You know you can almost call your God a rapist. Cloraforms you here on earth. You die, you don't remember this world under the cloraform, you can amost say Jesus sexed you up to bring forth life. So God used you sexualy. Is your God a rapist breeder? who is working for Jesus in marrage, might as well call him father pimp. As he pimps you off to one another, to procreate.

There is only one rule in my belief system: keep within the realm of reason and logic. Feel free to bring any beliefs you may have as long as they do not exclude others, and are intellectually sound. I am not trying to convert anyone, just curious how many would be willing to come given the opportunity. I already know the reaction from the other side of the fence. lol

My highest is some Christians quoting the Old Testament to validate their intolerance but refusing to live up to the rest of the laws. And if you call them on it by quoting another verse from the same book, they say that you are misapplying the verse.

Or is that just another lie in the name of God? In a recent post I pointed out the glaring contradictions in the genealogies given in Matthew and Luke. Or maybe somebody finally authorized another revision of the bible to erase the contradiction.

Matt.1:16: "And Jacob begat Joseph the husband of Mary, of whom was born Jesus, who is called Christ."

Luke 3:23: "And Jesus himself began to be about thirty years of age, being (as was supposed) the son of Joseph, which was the son of Heli."

These do NOT lead to Mary, as one person has stated in rebuttal to my earlier remark about this. So, folks, what say you? Who gets the "oops?" And in case anyone is unfamiliar with this, the two genealogies are vastly different. Yet both are supposed to be the word of God?

This is from "The authorized (King James) version."

What is your opinion based on the following?

"In Islam, a woman has the basic freedom of choice and expression based on recognition of her individual personality. First, the non-Muslim woman (from the people of the Book) is free to maintain her religion. Allaah Says (what means):"There is no compulsion in religion. Verily, the Right path has been made distinct from wrong path.” [Quran 2:256]

Women are encouraged in Islam to contribute their opinions and ideas. There are many traditions of the Prophet which indicate women would pose questions directly to him and offer their opinions concerning religion, economics and social matters.

A Muslim woman chooses her husband and keeps her family name after marriage. A Muslim woman's testimony is valid in legal disputes. In fact, in areas in which women are more familiar, their evidence is conclusive."

Especially if said teens want to know about the visions in revelation, How can you teach it and know that you are spreading His word as He intended it and not losing the meaning while trying to teach it in a way that they will understand. I'm always afraid I'll lead them in the wrong direction. I know what the word says in my heart.
**I always enjoy answers I get that are sarcastic, cute, edgy, and flippant--they make me smile--but I am asking right now for especially Christians who want to do right by these kids to help me out here, so I can answer their questions.

* Geographic distribution of related species. Meaning related species are usually near each other.
* Wisdom Teeth - there isn't room on your jaw for them anymore.
* Your little toe - totally useless. Nice intelligent design here.
* Your appendix - totally useless now but it does digest cellulose in other species.
* Your inner eyelids - They don't even work now, but they do for lots of other animals like house cats. Bet you didn't even know you had 'em.
* Vestigial DNA - meaning chromosomes that we have but don't use, but that are used in other species. We have several that other primates use but are totally useless to us.
* The fact that we share so much DNA among species
* There are no wild cows. They evolved through artificial selection and are totally man made.
* Different breeds of dogs, cats, livestock.
* Viruses and bacteria evolve quickly and you can actually see it. This is why you need a new flu shot every year.

Me and My family went to my relative's house today without warning to discuss about a family crisis and etc. Me and my lil bro left the living room and went to the kitchen since it was boring to hear everyone else talk about something we didn't care about. As i started sitting on the table , my arm acidentally bumped into this glass of water. When i turned around it was a withcraft set. It had a bowl of water with some sort of leaves in them ,and glasses of water with white markings on them. I was frightening so i left immediatly as i found out what it was. Then in the car as im telling my mom about this ,she said an evil spirit will haunt me now. Is this true? what's the worst that can happen after i bumped into that glass of water? anything at all?

My teacher made me leave the classroom because I refused to say the Pledge of Allegiance. For one I see no point in honoring a flag and I did not want to say "one nation under God" because I do not believe in god. Do you think the teacher has the right to kick me out of the classroom for that?
