My highest is some Christians quoting the Old Testament to validate their intolerance but refusing to live up to the rest of the laws. And if you call them on it by quoting another verse from the same book, they say that you are misapplying the verse.

I hate when they go on and on about religion, and think they are on a mission to convert everyone in earshot.

They think they are Christians when they are not. They think that simply being a regular attender at a church, or being baptised, reading the Bible, praying to God and believing in God means that they are a Christian. It does not, a true Christian must have the spirit of Christ within and believes that Christ is God (Romans 8:9). You will find that not many of them will believe that. In fact most of them will not know what you are talking about.

it is so hard to pick just one...probably the fact that they think that theirs is the one and only path to spiritual truth, and everyone else is wrong in their eyes. I hate that! Their total denial of the Feminine Divine.

The other is their obtuse, stubborn accusations about pagans and Witches being in bed with their blasted devil, when we don't even believe in a evil. And the frequently try to invalidate Witchcraft completely by saying there is no such thing as a Witch, then they go on to say that Witches are devil worshipers...etc...

Your pet peeve about them also drives me crazy. See, so hard to choose...

Bright blessings,

Oh, Christians are too close to me and play important roles in my private and professional life. They do not 'peeve' me. But unfortunates who are members of the fundamentist sect bring from me constant pity. Imagine, to throw away what is truly beautiful, human, natural, and fulfilling in life for the sake of the Bronze Age tribal god of a gang of murdering, raping, looting desert nomads. Two of the greatest actors I've ever worked with upon the New York stage traveled their journal through life as devout Christians. I love them, respecte them, learned from them. From Fundies I have learned only that hate, bigotry, ignorance, lying, and ego are still alive and thriving in this land.

Quoting from a book written by humans; translated a zillion times, then told it is the absolute word of God. Have faith when it gets to hard.

It's like the the water melon argument.

The Watermelon is blue inside until you cut it !

Have faith my son, it was blue !

Mine is how they sometimes attempt to have THEIR views become the law of the land. Politics and religion are incompatible. One of the most blatant instances in this regard is the seemingly neverending battle by the Christian Right against abortion rights.
To me, it's so simple; if it goes against your religion to have one, then don't.

My biggest pet peeve about the Christrine doctrine is the teaching that their way is the only way to reach God. Blessings!

They justify every bad thing they do with "Jesus died for my sins" They can do anything and not feel bad about it because they have "Jesus in their hearts"

Oh, and they think that their main goal in life is to increase the number of people with "Jesus in their hearts" so they live their entire lives like poor uneducated trash and never try to improve because life on earth is meant only to spread the word of Jesus and it's not important to accomplish anything else (except for the church leaders who are filthy rich)

Refusal to read Catholic Church documents and instead relying on news reports ABOUT documents. This applies to both Catholic and non-Catholic Christians.

yeah Cherry picking is pretty bad.

Mine is the fact that they argue against Evolution yet when they themselves summarize it. It seems to have nothing to do with anything.

Their objection comes out of ignorance.
