you can give up specific things for a fast... for example, if you give up everything but oil, flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, eggs and BRAN, you can surely eat a bran muffin or two..

LOL

Since fasting is suppose to clear out the system, bran muffins would speed things up. Happy crumbs to you.

Seriously, you should try to eat whatever you want- it is the only way to learn to wear dentures. The dentures should be physically strong enough to eat the muffins. Do as others have said and dunk the muffin in something to soften it a bit. Do not be surprised if you don't get some crumbs under your plates- rinse often but keep trying.

Well, that depends on your health, and if you are taking medicine that requires you to eat. God does not want you doing anything that would jeopardize your health. Also, there are other ways besides food to fast. You can give up something you really enjoy for a while, like being on the computer, watching TV, etc. God bless!

How's that fasting if you're eating???

A "few" bran muffins no less, even one isn't enough if you're not supposed to eat when you fast anyways?

Oh no. During lent I eat on Sunday's only. If I don't eat something very easy on the system, I will throw it up or have diarrhea. Try broth or steamed vegetables

usually when fasting it is appropriate to drink a lot of broth from very healthy veggies cooked for hours and drink lots of tea and water.

clear liquids are appropriate for a fast - i hope you don't fast often.
