Me and My family went to my relative's house today without warning to discuss about a family crisis and etc. Me and my lil bro left the living room and went to the kitchen since it was boring to hear everyone else talk about something we didn't care about. As i started sitting on the table , my arm acidentally bumped into this glass of water. When i turned around it was a withcraft set. It had a bowl of water with some sort of leaves in them ,and glasses of water with white markings on them. I was frightening so i left immediatly as i found out what it was. Then in the car as im telling my mom about this ,she said an evil spirit will haunt me now. Is this true? what's the worst that can happen after i bumped into that glass of water? anything at all?

Nothing is going to happen to you, your mom's just messing with you. Spirits don't live in cups of water. I don't get why you are freaked out about this.

Have you ever heard the saying, "Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar." Well, in this case sometimes a glass of water is just a glass of water. Wiccans (those of us who practice witchcraft) don't leave any ritual items just lying around in the kitchen. We also don't conjure up evil spirits. I don't think that you encountered anything more evil than chlorinated or fluoridated water (which I am told can be dangerous).

What a horrible thing for your mother to say to you! Honestly, I was a practicing pagan for years. I was wiccan, and used all sorts of spells, floorwashings, read the tarot cards, and also used swords, bowls, markings, etc. Luckily, I have found God, and accepted Jesus as my savior.

Accidentally touching something that you do not understand can frighten you. Especially when it could be associated with "Black magic" or something. But do not worry. This is not an invitation for an evil spirit to haunt you. This was probably some type of money spell that you disturbed. It's as bogus as being afraid of midnight or a black cat.

Don't fall for those silly stories. God is always with you.

What??

Honey, NOTHING is going to happen to you. Plenty of glasses have unusual markings on them, it doesn't make them a wicthcraft "kit" - there is no such thing, BTW.

Leaves in a bowl of what you assumed was water. So bay leaves in soup, that's not OK to be in a bowl.?

There is no evil spirit going to follow you about or haunt you, nothing at all is going to happen just because you bumped the glass just a little bit.

The worst thing that could happen is that your arm would get wet. Forget all about it - and you don't need to start blaming evil spirits for every little thing that goes wrong for the rest of your life. Your life will be a mixture of bad things and good things, just like everyone else's.

In witchcraft, the power of things is invoked by the power of the witch. Not everything has power - and the spell must be directed.

So no, you can't get in trouble accidentally, even by touching something.

And evil spirits are usually not associated with direct witchcraft - I suspect your mother was pulling your chain.

relax. You are more apt to get killed in the car driving home.

Neil T. Anderson has written many books about such things. I'm certain that unless you embrace evil willingly you have nothing to fear.
Something like laying hands on a person who is posessed. You do so intentionally but not with the intent of embracing (supporting) evil.

Maybe your mom thought your relative was into witchcraft. She could have been mistaken. Spells aren't real and magic isn't real. Nothing will happen as long as you believe it's not real. Don't let yourself get all excited over it because that would be the worst thing you could do. You'd be making yourself afraid of nothing.

lol

(If this story is true) You have nothing to worry about. There are no "evil spirits" in witchcraft. Much less from just bumping over a glass of water...

Um no that's not true, it was a glass of water with leaves in it.

This is 2007, not 1607. Time to modernize and not be so superstitious, dontcha think???
